We ask that you come in cocktail attire, and though it will be hot outside the venue is entirely indoors.
Obviously no white, and the wedding party will be in sage green so if you could avoid that we would much appreciate it!
We are asking for all RSVP responses no later than May 1st, 2024.
The ceremony and reception will both be held at the Slover Library in Downtown Norfolk, Virginia. We ask that you arrive to the venue no later than 4:30 as it will take some time to get everyone inside and in their seats before we begin the ceremony at 5!
If you are staying in Downtown Norfolk, there is a good chance your hotel is walking distance from the venue. If you are not staying within walking distance, there is a parking garage connected to the venue: https://www.downtownnorfolk.org/go/garage-at-the-main-hotel. There are additional parking garages located near the venue as well, with the next closest one being: https://www.norfolk.gov/facilities/facility/details/13.
The Main and the Slover are connected, if you go down to the lobby of the Main there is an exit out into the Selden Market. Once in Selden Market, there is a ramp and a set of stairs into Slover Library. You do not need to go outside to move from the Hilton Main into Slover.
Due to the location of this hotel relative to the Slover, it will be easiest to exit the Marriott and enter the Selden Market which has an interior entrance to the Slover Library. This will cut out unnecessary time walking outside in your evening wear!
There are multiple parking garages near the venue, with one even attached to the building! The two I would recommend are the Waterside Garage which is one street over from the venue, and the hotel’s garage which is called the Norfolk Hilton the Main Parking Garage.
1) All invited guests are defined by name or as a specific person's plus-one in the RSVP menu. 2) Children are not invited. When in doubt, if someone's name is not included in the RSVP list, they are not invited.
The ceremony will begin at 5pm on 6/27/26 in the Community Room on the 6th floor, followed by a brief cocktail hour before the reception begins in the Atrium downstairs. The reception will end at 10pm, and guests will be free to continue the party elsewhere!
If you are flying, the Norfolk International Airport is very close to both Downtown Norfolk and any hotels you might be staying in. If you are driving from the Northeast, we suggest taking the Eastern Shore (Chesapeake Bay Bridge-Tunnel) rather than traveling down I-95 to avoid DC traffic.
Dinner will be served buffet-style and there will be a desserts table available as well.
Yes, there will be an open bar.
We ask that all guests refrain from taking photos and videos during the ceremony, but feel free to take and post as many as you wish during the cocktail hour and reception!
