Question

What's the wedding itinerary?

Answer

Our wedding will take place at the Boathouse at Sunday Park on 6/27/26. The ceremony will begin at 5:30 PM sharp, followed by cocktail hour and the reception, which is anticipated to wrap around 11:00 PM. Once you arrive, you'll see signage directing you to where the ceremony will take place.

What time should I arrive at your wedding ceremony?

Answer

Doors to the venue will open at 5:00 PM, with our ceremony beginning promptly at 5:30 PM. Please note that gates will close at 5:25 PM. Guests arriving after this time will be kindly asked to wait and join us at the cocktail hour following the ceremony.

Is there parking available near your wedding venue?

Answer

Yes, but we advise Uber & Lyft & carsharing services for those who plan on drinking! For guests within driving distance of the venue, there is free on-site parking that can accommodate overnight parking.

What should I wear? Is there a dress code?

Answer

The dress code for our wedding is formal attire. For men, we encourage a dark suit with a tie, while we recommend floor-length gowns, elegant midi dresses, or dressy jumpsuits for women.

Can I bring a plus one?

Answer

Unfortunately, we have a strict guest list to stay within the venue capacity and we will only be able to accommodate those listed on your wedding invitation.

Am I allowed to bring my children?

Answer

We love your children, but due to space restrictions, we cannot accommodate children and this will be an adults only event. We hope that you can still join us!

When is the RSVP deadline? I missed the RSVP deadline. Can I still attend the wedding?

Answer

Thank you in advance for sending your RSVP before May 28th. You can RSVP right here on our wedding website. Due to vendor commitments and event logistics, we are unable to accommodate guests who do not RSVP by the deadline. We hope you understand and that we can celebrate with you at a later time!

Will your wedding be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

Our ceremony will be outdoors in the garden, while cocktail hour and the reception will take place indoors and under covered patios. Guests will walk to the garden on paved pathways, but will need to step on grass briefly to take their seats. For that reason, stiletto or otherwise-thin heels are not recommended. Virginia summers are hot and humid! Please prepare to be outdoors for our ceremony - we will be providing fans and beverages to help with the heat.

Will there be an open bar?

Answer

There will be an open bar for guests to enjoy throughout cocktail hour and the reception, however, we do recommend bringing cash or a credit card along if you plan to attend the after-party, as drinks after the reception will not be covered. Please coordinate your ride home accordingly.
