Wedding Party

Meet our family and friends who have been a huge part of our lives and walking down the aisle with us!

Julia Horvitz

Maid of Honor

I have known Julia since we were 15, which is when we probably started planning my wedding. My favorite times with Julia were when we were growing up and we wouldn't leave my basement because we were too busy eating ice cream and watching John Tucker Must Die for the 100th time. Julia is an extension of my family, always letting herself into our home unannounced and going straight to our pantry (her mom only keeps healthy snacks at her house). Even though we don't live in the same state, she has never failed to remind me she is only one call away if I need absolutely anything. I am so lucky to call you my best friend and maid of honor J! xoxo Syd

Chip Boardman

Best Man

The story goes that Ross Boardman entered the earth on 8/23/92 and Chip's wallet has never been the same! Whether it was my passion for baseball, Alabama sports, golf, and family, you've always been there for me 100%, full throttle every time. We've had fun memories at Fascher Painting (now 6 Feet Under Midtown) early in my life, shooting hoops and drawing on your white board. A million trips to Tuscaloosa, my favorite when I was 8 and it snowed for the Iron Bowl. Auburn kicked our ass... I'm sure you were pissed as I would be, but you still took me to Dreamland. You were tough with school and made sure I was detailed, professional and a southern gentleman. I may have not gotten the point at 17 but as I've grown I wouldn't change a thing. You're my rock and best man. I love you. - Ross

Melissa Reynolds

Bridesmaid

Mel and I met 4 years ago through mutual friends at Eclipse Di Luna (where I had my first date with Ross). We ordered mac and cheese at the same time and 30 minutes later she was back at my apartment agreeing to live with me. We became instant best friends and have been inseparable ever since. Mel and I can laugh for hours about absolutely nothing and spend days together without getting sick of each other. She has been my favorite roommate (until Ross of course) and basically still lives with us. I don't know how I did life before I met her! xoxo Syd

Aaron Levine

Groomsman

Aaron and I have been best friends since pre-school and we have been getting into all sorts of shenanigans ever since. One time when we were in elementary school my mom came to pick me up from Aaron's, but neither of us were ready to stop playing. In classic Aaron/Ross fashion, we hid in the house for an hour while our moms scoured the neighborhood and almost called the cops! We've mostly stayed out of trouble since then and have traveled the world with highlights in Israel and Greece. - Ross

Tara Strange

Bridesmaid

Tara and I met while studying abroad in Florence, Italy in college. It wasn’t until we sang karaoke together in a room full of Italians that our friendship really blossomed. “Valerie” will always be our song, except I have been told my microphone needs to be off... Even though we have a long distance relationship, there's never a dull moment visiting each other. Her adventurous personality makes her one of my favorite travel companions and I cannot wait for our next trip! Back to Italy??? xoxo Syd

Joel Mehler

Groomsman

I was fortunate to meet Joel at the University of Alabama while we pledged ZBT together. Although he loves to remind me he hated me as his pledge class president freshman year, I was able to lock him into a lease as roomies sophomore year! Joel has always made sure that I didn't take life too seriously and enjoy the finer things in life. Joel and Syd have gotten close as well, so when he wanted to surprise her and come to Vegas after we got engaged, I couldn't refuse. That was the greatest way to end our trip. - Ross

Sarah Walker

Bridesmaid

Sarah and I met at the University of South Carolina through our sorority, Tri Delta. Sarah is one of my few friends from college that moved to Atlanta with me and I have been so thankful to have one of my absolute favorite humans so close! Sarah and I have some of the most amazing memories together, but I think my favorite is being brides at the same time. It's something so special we get to go through together and it will always mean so much to me. xoxo Syd

Reid Shapiro

Groomsman

Reid and I have roots that run deep and can always relate to one another. As native Atlantans and generational Georgians, there isn't a whole lot that separates us other than he bleeds Georgia red and I bleed Alabama crimson. My dad and his Mom met at Alabama in the '80s and we all reconnected in preschool at The Sunshine School. I can say there's only 2 things we've ever fought over... sports and a girl in the 4th grade. Other than that it's smooth sailing and good vibes only. Can't wait to spend some time with this fool in the retirement home one day! - Ross

Kaity Edelmann

Bridesmaid

Kaity and I also met through our sorority and have made the most fun memories together. You could always find us dancing everywhere to every song. Kaity and I definitely have a love of our birthdays, so it only makes sense they are just a few days apart and we celebrate all month long (LEO SZN). Kaity is always the life of the party, so it is no wonder I want to be around her all the time. Even though we can be QUITE DRAMATIC at times, Kaity is one of the best people I know with one of the biggest hearts and I don't know what I would do without her. xoxo Syd

Corey Tarlow

Groomsman

Corey and I met at Bama my sophomore year and his freshman year, so I'm absolutely positive he hated me for a solid year. He's a mensch and must've forgiven me along the way 'cause now we spend some serious time hooking golf shots into the trees. I don't know anyone more go with the flow in my life and I mean that in the best way possible. Corey is a genuine friend and looks out for those he loves and that's why Sydney and I can't get enough. He also came to surprise Syd in Vegas with Joel and it was absolutely epic spending time with him there. - Ross

Hunter Marks

Bridesman

Hunter and I met at Camp Barney Medintz and some of my absolute favorite memories are with him there. Our love for Lake Burton and crying while watching videos of soldiers coming home really solidified our friendship. Hunter and I have separation anxiety and talk about 5 times a week. Hunter's amazing sense of humor and genuine, kind heart have kept him a very close friend of mine. Ross and I have both known Hunter for about 10 years now and we absolutely could not imagine our wedding day without him standing by our sides. xoxo Syd

Daniel Maloon

Groomsman

Daniel and I met at CBM what feels like a lifetime ago, yet it's insane how many epic inside jokes and experiences we remember from those formative years. We stayed friends through college and after a couple years in ATL, we decided to become roomies in Midtown. Things picked up like we hadn't missed a beat and I owe much of my fun in the city to Dan's go-getter attitude. In contrast, I owe many stomach aches to him, the master of getting me to finish doughnuts by the dozen and then some. - Ross

Jackie Prager

Bridesmaid

I met Jackie while “lifeguarding” at Camp Barney Medintz when we were 16, which really consisted of us tanning, eating snacks and chatting. Jackie and I have stayed in touch over the years since we left camp and I am so happy she has FINALLY moved back to Atlanta closer to me!! I couldn't handle the separation much longer since Jackie and I have so much fun when we are together. Jackie’s older brother is one of Ross’ friends and I will never forget telling her “I cannot believe I am going on a date with Steven's friend, OMG!” xoxo Syd

Philip Ratnowsky

Groomsman

Out of all my friends, Phillip may have defied the biggest odds. Rambunctious and constantly sticky, my mother wanted no part of this for my future. Well Mama, we made it! First meeting at a camp preview through mutual friends, Lisa came home and declared "you will never be friends with that Phillip Ratnowsky!" Here we are 20 years later, less rambunctious and constantly in touch from ATL to NYC. The wittiest, most devastatingly stunning of the bunch keeps us on our toes and we wouldn't have it any other way. - Ross

Alli Boardman

Bridesmaid

When you marry someone, you marry their family too and I am so lucky I get to marry into a family where I get one of my friends as a sister! I have always wanted a sister for as long as I can remember and I cannot think of anyone better than Alli. We are so similar and we love to pick on Ross (out of love of course). I absolutely love talking about wedding details with Alli (she has great taste), and I am so excited for a lifetime of adventures together. I am beyond happy she will be standing next to us on the most important day! xoxo Syd

Jeff Oxman

Groomsman

Jeffrey and I didn't get to know each other well until freshman year of high school. Although we both went to camp, we ran in different circles and finally became best friends trying to navigate the halls of a massive school. We stayed close through numerous visits to Tuscaloosa and Athens, ultimately culminating in one helluva SOB spring party at the ZBT house. Joel, Corey, Dan and even my Dad Chip were there to witness Moon Taxi and Mike Jones (LOL) bring a crowd to their knees. Today we get in heated 1 on 1 games at our gym and chat it up about crypto tips. To the moon!!! - Ross

Alex Mendel

Groomsman

Hands down there is nobody more frustrating to play fantasy football with than Voldemort AKA Alex Mendel. This dude calls his shots and wills his way to championships while crushing our souls. While we have been playing silly internet games since 13, this frienship kicked off wayyyy back in preschool, continued through camp and has lasted through adulthood while living in different states. I can't count how many times growing up we gathered at Alex's to toss the football, shoot hoops, watch the NBA, swim and laugh. I'm so fortunate to have a lifelong friend who has included me in his wedding and who will be up there with me! - Ross

Steven Prager

Groomsman

The first time Steven and I met was at the JCC playing for two legendary coaches, Coach Hadley and Coach Andy. To say we were studs is an understatement. Eventually our college careers turned to the draft and we both made the hard decision to turn down millions and pursue careers in financial services. If you're on this page you know that's 100% false, butttt it was those early days that kicked off a lifetime of friendship. We enjoy chats around government, history, Israel and so much more and I couldn't be more thankful for a friendship that makes me think critically. Love you SteveO! - Ross

Hayes Kohn

Groomsman

Hayes and I love watching football. Whether it's The Boys, Falcons or Tide, we get a kick over strategizing for fantasy football and most importantly, a good nap/kicking back. I couldn't be more excited to become an older brother to him and learn from each other as we grow! Remember that time we got asked if we played college football? Clearly Hayes helps make me look young and athletic. Thanks bud. - Ross

Max Kohn

Groomsman

Max and I worked at camp together for a couple of years, but didn't get to know each other well until going on family vacations. I've really enjoyed spending time drinking hazy IPAs, talking about work, travel and everything in between. I'm so happy that I get to spend some time with a new brother, and can't wait to visit him in NYC to eat, drink and laugh our faces off. - Ross
