The shuttle to the ceremony at Von Trapp Family Lodge: 3:00 pickup at the Lodge at Spruce Peak, the shuttle will pick up at Hourglass Drive Circle which I am told is located near the Spruce Peak Performing Arts Center, all hotel staff should be able to direct you to this location if there’s any confusion. 3:10 the shuttle will do a pickup at the Stowe Motel in front of the building that houses the front desk. 3:20 pickup at the Sun & Ski Lodge in the main parking lot. 3:30 is the last pickup destination at the Grey Fox Inn at the entrance closest to the road. Please try your hardest to be ready to board the shuttle when it arrives to avoid any potential delays. We do not have much wiggle room on time as the ceremony starts at 4:00! At 10:15 PM, there will be a shuttle that departs from the reception at the Trapp Family Lodge (early departure) and goes to the three downtown stops (Stowe Motel, Sun & Ski, Grey Fox), this is for anyone who wants to go home from the reception a bit early and does not wish to attend the after party at the Matterhorn. At 11:00 (the conclusion of the reception), two shuttle busses will leave from the Trapp Family Lodge and go to the Matterhorn. After making the initial drop off at the Matterhorn, one bus will go to downtown Stowe (Stowe Motel, Sun & Ski, Grey Fox) for anyone who wants to soak up the entire reception experience but isn’t into the Matterhorn vibe. At 12:30AM, one shuttle bus will go to the three downtown Stowe drop off points (Stowe Motel, Sun & Ski and Grey Fox), then will go to Von Trapp Family Lodge and finally to the Lodge at Spruce Peak. At 1:30AM (last call) the final shuttle will leave the Matterhorn and will go to the three downtown Stowe drop off points (Stowe Motel, Sun & Ski and Grey Fox), then will go to Von Trapp Family Lodge and finally to the Spruce Peak Lodge.
Summer Semi Formal Attire, think ties for guys! Please keep in mind the ceremony is in a meadow, (hopefully) under the August sun; hats and sunglasses encouraged! The walk to the reception is across a dirt road and down a slight, unpaved incline. Plan footwear accordingly!
Yes! Plenty of parking. You may also leave your car overnight and utilize the shuttle for getting back to the downtown area if needed.
