Logan was working at Kearney Regional Hospital as a Pharmacist in 2020, and Sydney was working in North Platte creating publications and graphics for a Natural Resources District. One of Sydney's best friends just so happened to be working as a nurse in the ICU. Her phone call to the pharmacy on one particular night consisted of "Hey Logan, I have three questions for you, 1. Can you make this med for my patient? 2. Do you want to build a snow man? and 3. Will you go on a date with my friend Sydney?" June 2020, Logan and Sydney met for Sushi on a double date. They started dating in July, Logan moved in October to New Mexico and Sydney left her job in North Platte in December, 2020 and moved to Sidney, NE. They have been dating long distance for almost a year and have met up every month to go hiking or meet family. Sydney will be moving to Gallup after the wedding!

Sydney flew to Albuquerque for the weekend to see Logan. They went hiking up Mount Taylor, a mountain about an hour from Gallup, elevation 11,000 ft. They started the hike with thunder in the distance, 3 miles to the top, through groves of Aspen trees, green grass, rocky trails and wild yellow flowers sprinkling the views. Along the way they ran into a friendly couple that gave them their wooden hiking sticks, a man singing and carrying his Chihuahua, and a cow. They reached the top of the mountain, took some pictures by the sign. Logan suggested they go over to look at the view. Sydney saw some wildflowers and decided to pick them and make a flower bouquet. She turned around gave them to Logan and he got down on his knee and proposed:)
