Kyle & I first met at the Riverplex in Peoria, IL. We were both in the sauna when he introduced himself. He seemed young—3 years younger to be exact. I could tell right away that he was funny with a great personality and smile. He also seemed confident, but not in a creepy way. Naturally we got too hot in the sauna and went our separate ways. I lingered coming out of the locker room to see if I’d run into him, when I didn’t I just went on home. I didn’t see him again until the next week. In passing while we were both in the middle of our workouts we waved at each other and again went our separate ways. I wondered if he wanted to talk to me more or if I should just leave it be. I respected that he wasn’t too aggressive with approaching me. I thought about it and decided to stalk him on Facebook. After some major creeping I finally found him and added him. At that point I thought, surely he will message me now! Nope. I waited a week then finally messaged him. From there he took the initiative and asked me out on a date. I remember being so nervous when we met up at Olive Garden. He was late and that bothered me, 4 years later and he’s still never on time ha! After our date we spent a lot of time just talking in his car getting to know each other better. I loved that he seemed so interested in me and wanted to know more. A couple days later I invited him to my parents house—the true test! When he arrived he found my dad outside target practicing and went up to him and introduced himself and shook his hand. Impressive. From then on we basically hung out any chance we could. Fast forward to June 2018 when we found out we were pregnant! A couple weeks later at a late birthday party celebration for me he asked me to be his wife in front of all our family and closest friends in our backyard!
