Our story began the very first moment he walked into the physical therapy clinic for his interview. I was at the front desk, doing what I always did—checking patients in, answering phones, and keeping the place moving—when the door opened and in he walked. I greeted him with a smile, and he later admitted he immediately thought I was so cute… until he learned I was his professor’s niece. Suddenly, I went from “cute girl at the front desk” to “absolutely off limits.” Once he was hired, we became friends just as naturally as breathing. For over a year, we talked between patients, shared jokes, bonded over the chaos of clinic life, and slowly realized how much we genuinely enjoyed each other. Meanwhile, I developed the biggest crush—and I didn’t hide it very well. But with our age difference and my family connection, he turned me down more than once, convinced that dating me was a terrible idea. And then, one day, everything changed. Out of nowhere, he asked me on a date. That “yes” ended up being the beginning of something neither of us ever expected. Since that day, we’ve been inseparable. We discovered we’re more alike than we ever imagined—sharing the same humor, values, quirks, and the kind of love that makes life feel lighter. What started with an interview greeting and a “you’re too young” excuse turned into a once-in-a-lifetime love story. Now, we can’t wait to start the rest of our lives together.
