We are proud to be a Bumble success story! Sydney made the first move on the app with the opener, " I'm so glad we matched because I think you're really cute". It must have worked its magic on Jake; they had a date scheduled within the week at the Willow Room in Chicago. Sydney arrived from her work Christmas party really feeling herself in a light-up sweater, and talked way too much (typical). When Jake did manage to get a word in, he found himself opening up in ways he never has before. Both blissful unaware of what had just hit them, they continued going on dates and getting to know one another until the world shutdown in March 2020. Covid quickly expedited the relationship and they moved into their first apartment together in October of 2020! They spent two wonderful years in this apartment making memories-milestone birthdays, SuperBowl parties, graduations, family dinners and ultimately, built a life they love together! Flash forward to 2023 and their love story went international with Sydney accepting a role in London!

Taking advantage of their time across the pond, Jake & Syd planned a trip to the Amalfi Coast in early spring of 2023. They woke up one gorgeous Friday morning overlooking the Italian coastline and decided to spend the afternoon in Positano. They made their way down the village of Praiano to the beach club, and took a water taxi across the sea to Positano. After a lunch of spritz and seafood, they headed to the beach to enjoy the view. While taking a selfie, a "random" photographer asked to assist and before she knew it, Jake was down on a knee. Overwhelmed with emotion, it was the greatest day of their lives. They enjoyed the rest of the evening prancing around Positano for a photo shoot and enjoying dinner (with a view) at the famous La Tagliata! We can't wait to celebrate with you! See you in Chicago!
