We chose to get married in Fredericksburg because of the opportunities for a great guest experience! Fredericksburg is a very popular tourist destination in Texas for many reasons: - It's in the heart of the Texas Hill Country, with beauty as far as the eye can see. We fell in love with the breathtaking nature that would be our "wedding backdrop." - The city specializes in hospitality! It’s home to many charming restaurants, exciting tourist attractions, welcoming accommodations, and world class wineries on Highway 290. Its small-town charm won our hearts. - It's a historic city in Texas; it was founded by German settlers in 1846 and retains its roots today. If you've never been, we are confident that you'll love it too! We're excited to share this gem of Texas with our loved ones and create memories against the most picturesque backdrop imaginable!
Please refer to our RSVP page where you’ll be able to enter your name, and the site will automatically display the names of any guests included on your invitation. Your Save the Date envelope will also be addressed accordingly—for example, “The _ Family” or “_ and _.”
We would love to help you get to Fredericksburg if you are flying in by using our complimentary airport shuttle! For further information on the airport shuttle times and how to sign up for a shuttle time, please see the “Travel” section. We recommend booking your flight with the shuttle times in mind.
Yes! The ceremony will take place in the chapel and the reception will take place in the event center at The Lodge.
Yes! The cocktail hour will be held outside, and if weather permits, our dance floor will be as well. The Texas Hill Country area is beautiful and the weather in April is often conducive to enjoying it. The song is right - the stars at night are big and bright deep in the heart of Texas… we are hoping to dance under them altogether!
For our welcome party, the attire is Spring Semi-Formal. Think semi-formal attire, but light, bright, and spring-ready! For April in Fredericksburg, we suggest knee-length dresses and sport coats with dress pants. For our wedding, the attire is Garden Party Cocktail. Think elegant, springtime-inspired looks! Guests are encouraged to wear ankle-length, tea-length, or midi dresses, chic jumpsuits, or a suit and tie. (If seeing inspiration photos, here are a few: https://tinyurl.com/wedinfredoutfitinspo

We are so grateful for your prayers over our engagement season and marriage. We’d like to ask for prayers for the following: - That our marriage would be God glorifying - That we would live selflessly and surrendered as we run our races as one - That God would use us to reach those who are hurting, lonely, lost, and needing the love of Jesus - That we would push each other closer to the Lord each and every day - That Hunter would sacrifice himself to Sydney as Christ gave himself for the church and that Sydney would love Hunter as the church loves and serves Christ (Ephesians 5:22-33) - That we’d focus more on building a marriage than planning the wedding day - That we’d remember the wedding day has an expiration date but the reward in heaven for prioritizing our marriage does not - That we’d help each other look more like Jesus… specifically to live out this quote: “Within this Christian vision of marriage, here's what it means to fall in love. It is to look at another person and get a glimpse of what God is creating, and to say, "I see who God is making you, and it excites me! I want to be part of that. I want to partner with you and God in the journey you are taking to his throne. And when we get there, I will look at your magnificence and say, 'I always knew you could be like this. I got glimpses of it on earth, but now look at you!” (Timothy Keller, The Meaning of Marriage: Facing the Complexities of Commitment with the Wisdom of God)
