We kindly request that you RSVP by June 30, 2019.
Absolutely. We would welcome children. However, if you would like to bring your child to Steamboat but prefer to not bring them to the reception, you can find Steamboat babysitting resources at this website: https://www.steamboatbabysitting.com/
You may arrive as early at 3:30pm. The farm will be open for exploration and there will be cocktails and light snacks. Please try to arrive before 4:30pm as the ceremony will begin at that time.
There will be shuttles leaving from the Steamboat Springs Middle School and the Rabbit Ears Motel (see addresses under Travel section). Times TBD. There will be shuttles from Elkstone Farm after the ceremony to the reception. Shuttles will depart from the house after the reception and return to the Steamboat Springs Middle School, the Rabbit Ears Motel, and whatever other destinations to which people need rides. Please keep checking back for updates!
Please do! You may submit your request in the RSVP section for the reception. The food will be primarily vegan, so there will be minimal dairy or eggs. There will also be no peanuts or cashews. We will do our best to accommodate other dietary preferences/restrictions.
There will be parking available at the Steamboat Springs Middle School. There will be a shuttle from the middle school to the Ceremony and from the Reception to the middle school. There will also be parking available at the middle school for Brunch. Please keep checking in for more details!
In the past, temperatures in late August / early September have ranged from lows in the low 40s F (at night) to highs in the high 70s F (during the afternoon). We recommend bringing something warm to wear in the evening.
The elevation in Steamboat is 6,732 feet. The elevation of Elkstone Farm is approximately 7000 feet and the elevation of the reception is approximately 7200 feet. We recommend that if you are coming up from sea level, give yourself some time to adjust to the altitude before pursuing any intensive hiking. The climate here is dry and it is easy to get dehydrated. We recommend drinking lots of water, especially if you will be joining us in libations at the reception.
