We first really got to know each other on a cruise with a group of friends in college. Even though we’d met before, we never actually spent time together. Toward the end of the trip, we both ended up sick, which somehow turned into us grabbing lunch at the buffet, just the two of us, and talking for hours. Later that day, Sydney knocked on Connor’s door and asked him to get dinner. Not long after, he asked her on a date the next time she’d be in Auburn. After graduation, Sydney ended up moving to Auburn, and what started as a random cruise conversation turned into a relationship!! Eleven months later, we got engaged 🤍
