How we met

November 3rd, 2019

It all started when Chandler went shopping for some fall flannels on Halloween. Martin (my best friend) just so happened to be working at JCrew that day. Martin obviously knew my type & something about Chandler just made him call me right up and tell me about him. I was very hesitant at first but Martin had a gut feeling about him and assured me that this might be the one. As soon as I stalked Chandler on social media I knew I needed to meet him. I added him on Facebook, then Instagram & then after awhile of debating I slid in Chandlers DMs. Shortly after, we were chatting non stop and set up a date for the following Sunday. Chandler picked the place and our first date was at Bonzer Shack. After the non stop chatting and very good date we decided to finish the night at Jack Brown’s; our first date lasted 5 hours. Chandler then went on a hunting trip the next day for 10 days and we talked non stop. As soon as the trip was done Chandler drove straight to my apartment & we were inseparable every since.

The Proposal

June 6th, 2020

It was just a typical Friday and I was working while Chandler was home just hanging out with my parents, or so I thought. One hour before closing my boss, Betsy showed up at work and told me I could go ahead and leave; that she needed to do something and I was good to go. Of course I called Chandler telling him the good news, we were going to meet my parents in Manteo for dinner anyways. He told me he was actually really close and could go ahead and come pick me up. Once we got to Manteo we parked near the restaurant and found my parents, they told us it would be a 30 minute wait and Chandler suggested we go walking up the bridge to Roanoke Festival Park. As we walked, we all chatted and I complained about how hot it was. We got to the boardwalk and I noticed my parents were suddenly walking a lot slower. As Chandler and I continue walking he all the sudden stops me and screams "Wait, theres a snake!". Of course I came to a complete stop, as Chandler starts bending down towards his boots. I honestly thought he was pulling out his gun to shoot the snake (if you know Chandler you know that is something he would do). As soon as he turns back around to me he's down on one knee, holding a BEAUTIFUL ring in his hand, and saying the sweetest words. As I try to scream the words "YES" through my tears I see the photographer, and his parents come from behind the bushes. I cried even harder and realized in that moment that I was the luckiest girl in the world.
