Cheers to the future McKinneys!

We met through our friends Ella and Trace—who were definitely playing matchmakers from the start. They’d invite us to hang out, then somehow magically disappear so it was just the two of us left talking. It didn’t take long before we realized there was something special here. One of the very first times we hung out, we played a “friendly” game of PIG. Sydney swears she won fair and square, while Carson still claims he let her win (we’ll let you decide who’s telling the truth). From that point on, things just clicked. Between lake weekends, golf rounds, and countless hangouts with family and friends, we knew we had something worth holding onto. Carson asked Sydney to be his girlfriend on August 8th, 2023—and the rest is history! Since then, we’ve been through life’s ups and downs together—graduating from Tarleton, traveling with our families, bringing home our sweet pup Birdie, and sharing so many little moments that have shaped our story. On Easter Sunday, surrounded by most of both of our families at Sydney’s house, Carson asked Sydney to marry him. It was the easiest “yes” ever, and one of the happiest days of our lives. Now, we can’t wait to tie the knot and celebrate this next chapter with all of our closest friends and family in one place. Having everyone we love together means the world to us, and we’re so excited to start forever surrounded by the people who have been part of our journey from the very beginning.
