We first met through mutual friends, not knowing that God was already writing a love story far greater than anything we could have imagined. What began as simple conversations over social media soon blossomed into something beautiful. We started spending more time together, cheering at sports events for each other, laughing through late-night talks, and realizing that something special was growing between us. From those early days, our connection just kept growing. God has really blessed us with so many memories—Bahamas trip, pumpkin patches in the fall, movie nights, pickleball battles, swimming on warm summer days, holidays together, and all the little moments in between that made us feel even more like home to each other. Through every moment, we have seen the Lord’s hand guiding us—strengthening our love, teaching us patience, and filling our journey with laughter and grace. What began as a friendship has grown into a Christ-centered relationship built on trust, faith, and unwavering love. Now, as we prepare to stand before God, our family, and our friends, we can’t help but feel overwhelming gratitude. We know that every step of our journey has led us to this moment—a lifetime commitment to love, honor, and serve one another while keeping Christ at the center of our marriage. "Therefore, what God has joined together, let no one separate." – Mark 10:9
Caleb had been planning the perfect proposal since the start of Christmas 2024, once he got my father's permission for my hand in marriage. Even though he’s not a big fan of couple photos, for my birthday, he surprised me with the sweetest card for a professional photo shoot scheduled for May 4th. I thought it was just a thoughtful gift, but little did I know he had something much bigger in mind. On my birthday, we went dress shopping and I found one that I absolutely loved. I had no idea at the time that it would become the dress I’d later wear during our engagement photos, making it even more special. When May 4th came around, I wasn’t feeling well and we couldn’t make it to the photo shoot. Caleb could’ve postponed everything, but with a little encouragement from his dad, he decided to do something even sweeter. He showed up at my house with Dairy Queen ice cream (which instantly made me smile), and right there in the comfort of home, he got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. It couldn’t have been more perfect—simple, heartfelt, and so us. And, of course, in true Caleb fashion, he made sure it happened on May 4th: “May the Fourth be with you.” Fun fact: Our very first meal together was Dairy Queen after one of Caleb’s basketball games. So, it feels like God beautifully tied everything full circle that night. And when we later took our engagement photos, I wore that same birthday dress—a little reminder of how perfectly he planned every detail of that special moment and made sure to record on our camera the months leading up to and the big day! I wouldn’t have wanted it any other way.
