Barnegat Lighthouse State Park is located at the northern tip of LBI. The lighthouse is commonly referred to as Ol' Barney and has been an island icon for over a hundred years. Visit the park's museum, walk the jetty, stick your toes in the tide pools, hike the (short) nature trail, or if you are feeling up to it, climb up to the top of Ol' Barney for an amazing view!
Bay Village lies in the heart of the downtown strip in Beach Haven. Here you will find a re-created 19th century waterfront village with shopping, mini golf, eating and relishing in all things that are quintessential summertime activities (like fudge and clam chowder!). Fantasy Island, a local amusement park, and Thundering surf, a small water park, are also located here.
A musical, Irving Berlin’s Top Hat, is playing through 06/15. The Show Place Ice Cream Parlor - located right next store, is open for the season on Saturday, June 14. Reservations are needed for Show Place, as it is popular with families and there are limited tables inside. In addition, the Long Beach Island Historical Museum is located across the street.
