We will be providing transportation to and from the Royal Sonesta for all guests. We will have shuttles that will bring you to the event and back to the hotel at the conclusion of the wedding. We will also be providing all out-of-state guests a $15 Uber voucher if you would like to take a ride anytime during your stay in Houston.

Question

Do I have to book at the Royal Sonesta?

Answer

We do encourage all guests to book with our approved hotel block. We have done our best to ensure affordability for everyone but, if you need to make other accommodations, we completely understand. Please ensure that you are at the Royal Sonesta by XXX to utilize the shuttle to the wedding. Otherwise, you must coordinate your own transportation to the ceremony.

Answer

Of course! We want to ensure everyone feels comfortable during our event. Food will be served at three different stations, each offering a distinct cuisine. Currently, we have vegan/vegetarian, Halal and Kosher options at each food station. All food will be labeled with ingredients at each station. If you have any other requests or needs, please email sydneyandbarron@gmail.com, and we will be happy to work with you to accommodate your request!

Question

Hey, so I have anxiety and want to know what is coming? What should I expect programming-wise?

Answer

Our ceremony will be upstairs of the Julia Ideason library, and you will be guided to your seats. After the ceremony, a cocktail hour will be held downstairs and in the courtyard, allowing all vendors time to set up for the reception and for guests to mingle after the ceremony. Following the cocktail hour, dinner and the reception will be held upstairs. Dinner will be served from different stations, and there will be an open bar! Please don't be afraid to go for seconds (or thirds) as we have done our best to ensure an enjoyable time for everyone. Once the reception gets underway, there will be loud music and lights, but also sensory-friendly spaces available for those who need them. If you have any questions. please let us know at sydneyandbarron@gmail.com or just text us prior to the beginning of the wedding festivities.
