We're engaged!!

Tony and Sydney first met in May of 2017 while being stationed at Little Rock AFB in Arkansas. They were casual friends and for a long time worked on the same crews, Tony even trained Sydney at one point. They also both got made fun of at their facility for their red/strawberry blonde hair and pale complexions, usually being told they both had no souls. In October of 2019 Tony and Sydney were both giving an opportunity to learn the other side of their job and potentially be stationed at another base. Both ended up taking this chance to go somewhere else even if it meant being sent to the armpit of America because they had been in Little Rock for to long. Come December of that year they both found out they were going to be stationed together at White Sands Missile Range (an army base) in New Mexico. This base was not preferable to either of them since it was in the desert in the middle of nowhere. Then COVID hit! Both were delayed to their new duty station causing them to become closer friends and eventually decide that they would live together. One of their coworkers, hearing this news, began to give each party a ton of crap and stated that in the next year they would be married and have little redhead babies. Tony and Sydney were appalled at this idea and found it rather disgusting. What they did not know was that living together was going to be harder than they originally thought. Tony got to their new base in September 2020, while Sydney arrived in October of 2020. On Sydney’s first night their Tony was cooking them dinner when he accidentally locked them out of their house. They waited outside for hours as Smeagle, their cat, meowed at them as they tried to find ways inside. Don’t worry though the food was safely stored away in the house. When maintenance finally came, they had to walk barefoot across their yard to get to the front stepping on a million goat heads (tony little grass demons). They watched in awe as the maintenance people just broke into their home because they had no spare keys (made us feel very safe about living there). As they continued living together, they became closer friends and in December started to realize they might have feelings for one another. They however would not tell the other person because the did not know if a relationship would work due to their future goals and careers. However, come May of 2021 the finally expressed how they felt and start to date. The year of 2022 was a very interesting one for the couple when Tony got out of the military in May. The night before they left to drive Tony to his new job, he decided that he was going to propose when they were packing and in pajamas. When he did Sydney did not take him seriously at all and believed he was joking with her but when she did realize what was going on she said yes and started crying happy tears. The couple celebrated their engagement on their road trip to Maryland and enjoyed their new atmosphere. Sydney however decided to stay in the military and extended in September of 2022. Tony will shortly be joining her in NM or wherever their next duty station is eventually. Throughout their relationship this couple has experienced many ups and downs but has always been there for one another no matter the cost. They both strive to make the other person better and support each other in their future aspirations. Sydney pushes Tony to get out of his comfort zone by doing more activities like, hiking, arts and crafts, and wine tastings. Tony, on the other hand, helps Sydney to take breaks and stop and relax to enjoy the little things in their life.
