FAQs

Question

So, what is “Southern Chic”?

Answer

Southern Chic is polished yet relaxed, with a nod to classic Charleston charm. Ladies: Midi dresses, chic minis with tights, or elegant separates in rich textures like satin, velvet, or crepe. Jewel tones, soft florals, or refined neutrals feel right. Gentlemen: Tailored trousers or chinos with a blazer, knit polo, or crisp button-down. Remember to check the weather before packing!

Question

What airport should I fly into?

Answer

Charleston International Airport (CHS) is the closest airport. It is a 10-15 minute drive to Downtown Charleston from CHS. The next closest airport is Savannah International Airport, which is about a 2 hour drive to Downtown Charleston.

Question

Should I rent a car?

Downtown Charleston is extremely walkable and Ubers are readily available. If you are staying Downtown and are comfortable walking and using Uber or Lyft, you probably do not need to rent a car. If you are wishing to explore areas outside of downtown, we would recommend renting a car.
