When people say, "it was love at first sight", you'll hear some awes accompanied by groans and eyerolls. Everyone love-hates a cliché. We were those people, the love-haters. Sometimes, it's hard to believe in something until you experience it yourself. From the start, conversation flowed seamlessly. Our first FaceTime call lasted 7 hours. Our first in-person date lasted 6 hours (and only ended because the brewery closed). It can be hard to put into words the feelings that accompany this type of connection. It was a connection like neither of us had felt before. There was the excitement and butterflies from the newness of it, but there was also overwhelming familiarity and safety. This sounds crazy, we know, but we knew from that first date that we'd found our person. The person that makes us feel fulfilled, happy, and endlessly loved. It was love at first sight.
