Like most millennials, we met online and the rest is history! Family and friends will tell you they knew Eric was the one when he stayed by my side when I had surgery only four months into our relationship. I hope I will never have to return the favor, but I know I will not be leaving his side any time soon. Even before quarantine we were inseparable, but moving in together weeks before the pandemic hit brought our relationship to another level. I learned to love anime, he learned to love true crime, and we became stronger together. I wouldn't want to be locked up with anyone else!
As most of you know, Halloween is my favorite time of year, which is just coincidence to the milestones we have shared in October. We met in September of 2018, fell in love in October, and said our first I love you's in December. A whirlwind romance that grew strong roots the past two and a half years. One of the first things Eric said to me when we first met was, "So what fall activities do we have planned?" The only thing a girl like me wanted to hear! Before we knew it we were picking pumpkins and sipping cider. At the end of my annual Halloween party, we danced in my empty apartment to the smooth sounds of a halloween playlist and I knew this man was something special. For our one year anniversary Eric took me on a ghost tour in Old Town Alexandria that ended in the beautiful Christ Church Cemetery that he would later propose in. Now everyone can see this is the man of my dreams.
