Sydne and Garrett met the modern way—on Bumble—but Sydne likes to remind Garrett that she didn’t even swipe on him herself. One night at work, she let a coworker take over her account, and that coworker is the one who swiped right. Sydne did send the first message, though—and despite Garrett insisting it was some clever pickup line, it was just a simple “hey there :)”. Somehow, that was all it took. Their first date was over ice cream, and it didn’t take long for both of them to realize this was something special. Since then, their life together has been full of laughter, a little bit of chaos, and the things they love most—playing games, going to concerts and sports events, watching movies, and attending church together. Garrett has fully embraced Sydne’s big, lively family and her ever-growing “farm,” learning to care for sheep, goats, chickens, and more. Sydne has learned all about baseball—somewhat reluctantly—and is pretty sure she has Garrett’s recruiting spiel memorized at this point. Along the way, they’ve added a few more to their crew, including a pig named Valentine and their puppy, Fenway. After the wedding, they’ll be moving into their new home in Carnegie, where they’ll start this next chapter together with their three dogs, one cat, and a backyard full of farm animals—building a life they’re both so excited to share.
