As you all may know, our story isn't your traditional meet cute. We have actually known each other (almost) our whole lives! Tim & Sydney both attended St. Edwards School from kindergarten to 8th grade. Fun fact - Sydney's dad actually coached the little league baseball team that Tim was on! Our families were always friendly, sometimes meeting for dinner at the local Cross Corner sports bar in Brentwood (if you know, you know). Little did our parents know that two of those kids running around the bar would be getting married 20 something years later! Tim and Sydney also both attended Father Ryan High School - Tim graduating in 2016 and Sydney in 2017. Our paths didn't cross much in high school as we both had our own sports, hobbies and friend groups to keep us occupied. After high school, Tim continued his education at the University of Alabama (roll tide?) and Sydney attended the University of TN Chattanooga. After 3 years at Alabama, Tim decided that engineering wasn't the best path for him and transferred to a college in Chattanooga, TN to figure out his future while also being closer to friends and family. And this is where our story really begins! Once Tim moved in with some of his high school friends in Chattanooga, the rest is really history. We ran in the same circles, hung out pretty much every weekend, and within 5 months of Tim moving to Chattanooga, we started dating. We were lucky enough to have already been familiar with each others families and friends, so things felt extremely natural. After about 3 1/2 years of dating, Tim moved back to Nashville, TN to pursue an opportunity and start his career. Sydney stayed behind in Chattanooga to continue the job she loved, spend time with her mom, and gain an extra year of experience in her field. We did long distance for almost a year - taking turns traveling back and forth every single weekend to see each other. While it was tough, it made our relationship stronger than ever and reassured us both that we were moving in the right direction. In April of 2024, Sydney moved back to Nashville, started a new job, and was back with Tim and her friends and family at last. Within for 4 months of us being back in Nashville, Tim bought a ring and proposed on labor day weekend of 2024 while on a beach trip with our friends. The perfect happy ending!!!! We decided to take our time wedding planning as many of our friends are also planning their weddings and enjoying this phase of life. We can't wait to celebrate with all of you on our special day.
