We have not registered for gifts, but have instead set up a fund to help cover the expenses of Matt's visa, immigration lawyer fees, and our move back to the US. Please see the "Registry" tab if you would like to contribute. You can use a debit or credit card safely and securely via our website. Your card details will not be saved and there are no extra fees. The funds are then transferred to our personal account specifically for visa/moving costs. PLEASE NOTE: As Zola is a US-based company, all transactions are billed in USD. The amount you enter to donate is what you will be charged in USD. Please use a currency converter to ensure that you are donating the intended amount ❤️ Know that we are just grateful for the all love and support - regardless of contribution or not. For those who have contributed, thank you from the bottom of our hearts for helping to facilitate our future plans and kickstart our life together 🩵
We are still finalizing plans for parking. There is ample street parking at the Robson house (our venue, courtesy of our dear friends), but because of school holidays we are not sure exactly how many spots there will be. We may end up arranging carpooling and will keep everyone updated as the day approaches.
We will be serving a variety of canapes at the beginning of the reception. Dinner will be served buffet style excluding our vegan/vegetarian meal, which will be plated individually. We have accommodated dietary restrictions as best as possible for vegan/vegetarian and gluten-free diets. Below is a list of most of the dishes we will be serving 😊 Mains: - Mushroom risotto (V) - Beef cheek with red wine jus - Lemon, thyme, and garlic chicken breast with creamy mustard and rosemary sauce (GF) Sides: - Ratatouille (V/GF) - Rocket salad with pinenuts, parmesan, and pear, dressed with balsamic vinegar (GF) - Potatoes au gratin - Roasted country style seasonal vegetables (V/GF) In true Aussie fashion, we will also be having a sausage sizzle during the afterparty (vegan sausages included!).
Don't you worry - the drinks will be flowing! 🍾 We are stocked up with sauvignon blanc, shiraz, beer, cider, and champagne. There are soft drinks available as well as tea/coffee. We will not be serving liquor, but guests are welcome to bring any additional drinks they might like.
We want everyone to have fun with what they wear and to express themselves. Obviously, we're swanky folks - so dress to impress! That being said, this is a casual wedding at heart and we want everyone to feel comfortable. Let's say "semi-formal garden attire" with a lot of wiggle room.
Our wedding is outdoors in the garden, which our friend Matt has beautifully and meticulously planted and arranged. So far we are in the clear and are not expecting rain. Should the forecast change, we will arrange to set up a marquee in the garden. This time of year, the temperature has a high of 22ºC and a low of 15ºC. We recommend that guests bring a jacket/cardigan in case it gets chilly.
We will have a photographer on-site from 4:30-7:30pm. Some friends will be enlisted to take photos during the evening portion. We welcome everyone to take photos throughout the day.
