Colt and Syd’s love story began in eighth grade. While on a trip to Hume Lake Christian Camp, Colt grabbed Syd’s hand during chapel and, over the music, asked, "Will you go out with me?" That night, they shared a pizookie—what they now call their first date.

Colt and Syd have done a lot of growing since 2014. From the halls of Templeton High, to the parties at Chico State, and now into their real adult jobs and big-city lives, they’ve always been side by side. The years have been filled with joy—concerts, sporting events, traveling, and snuggling their sweet kitten, Hemi.

It was at a Luke Combs concert, a decade after they began dating, that Colton finally proposed. As 'Beautiful Crazy' played and a million girls filmed, Colt pulled out a beautiful emerald-cut ring and got down on one knee. Just like it began, it was over the music that Colton asked—and Syd once again said, 'Yes, of course.'
