We met in Madison in 2021 at a small show at Cargo Coffee. The show was for the band Line, started by Syd’s friend Maddie, and Aaron ended up there thanks to his friend Isaac. At the time, we were both living in different states but knew we eventually wanted to find our way back to Madison. A few months later, we reconnected when Aaron was back in town and had our first date at Gib’s on Willy Street — a night that turned into hours of talking, stargazing in a field, and not wanting it to end (and getting home much later than expected, with our families briefly concerned we had been kidnapped). From there, we made long distance work, finding ways to stay connected across states until we were finally in the same place again. In 2023, we moved back to Madison to start our life together, and have been building a home here ever since. We’re so excited to celebrate this next chapter with you!
