Wedding Party

Meet some of our favorite people walking down the aisle with us!

Emma McCarthy (Rydberg)

Matron of Honor

Syd's Best Friend since college and former roommate of 4 years. She knows me better than I know myself most days and has walked through all the good and bad life has to offer with me. The best travel partner, we have adventured to all but one of the 50 states together as well as Mexico, Canada and Costa Rica. Emma is a force to be reckoned with. She is wicked smart, insanely compassionate and likely a future best-selling author (just wait because she will rock the literary world I just know it). She’s a dedicated dog mom to three beautiful idiots, Kylo, Koda, and Maggie (who Syd loves like they her own). When she’s not rocking her role as an NP, she can be found adventuring with her future husband, Noah, watching Bobs Burgers or GOT, or rereading “A Little Life” (because once wasn’t enough pain). She's more like a sister, than a friend, and it is one of Syd's greatest life gifts to be considered part of her family.

Chanel Diede

Bridesmaid

Big sister to the Bride, Chanel lives in Montana, right outside Glacier National Park, (because apparently South Dakota wasn’t cold enough for her!) with her husband Joe. She always enjoys a good skiing/snowboarding trip, an NBA game, thrift shopping (it's just an Eiseman thing), and hanging out with her two pups Roo and Carly. She’s a thoughtful, caring person with a great sense of humor and a sweet gift-giving ability that she got from our mom. Syd’s honored to be her sister.

Megan Olejarczyk

Bridesmaid

Friends since college, and much like Syd’s other lasting college friendships it found its start in the world of Printy, the freshman girls dorm at Cedarville. Syd had the privilege of standing with Megan when she got married and now her and Jake have a beautiful family with two adorable children. Unfortunately, they currently live in the UK. So our friendship happens over text, FaceTime, and Marco polos these days. But wouldn’t trade that for the world! Megan has been a constant supporter and amazing friend (and an even more amazing mom and wife). She’s always available for a good conversation about life and gives great, thought-out advice and insight in this crazy hard to navigate world. I have learned so much from the way she lives life and it's an honor to call her a close friend. She hopes to make it to our November wedding, but timing can be a challenge with two little ones and living overseas.

Laura Weaver

Bridesmaid

Laura and Syd also met during the Printy days of life in a cornfield. However, our friendship didn’t find its footing until senior year and after college within the world of roadtrips and adventures. Laura is always ready with a song lyric or a TV show/movie reference for any and all occasions. She is a consistent friend, that’s always shows up when she’s needed (or just wanted). She’s a lovely dog mom to Echo boy, a wonderful adventure buddy, and the best person to live text a TV show with (pep at those PLL texts coming through as I type). I am honored she agreed to be part of our big day!

Lindsay Porter (Margosian)

Bridesmaid

LINDSAY PORTER (soon to be Margosian). This sweet, beautiful friend of Syd's is what I consider to be the life of the party. She is always bringing laugher and giggling anywhere she goes and is always down for some good laughs or serious conversations over an ice cream sandwich. We met in the same place as most of the college friends that lasted past college, Printy, while dancing to "Lip gloss" by Lil Mama at getting started weekend. Sophomore year we had the unique bond of getting two concussions each at the same time as each other and having to endure the life sucking treatment of no screens, no noise, no nothing together for weeks- creating a bond that I think has proven to stand the test of time, even after losing touch for a bit there! I am so honored to call her a friend and so excited that we are getting to do this engaged part of life together, as her wedding is May 2026!

Shea Dickerson

Bridesmaid

Nic's younger sister. She is the most creative person I have ever met. Always down for a good craft of any kind. She is a funny, sweet, outgoing individual and a lovely cat mom to her two girls, Davy and Calyso. Syd is VERY excited to get to add her as the younger sister she always hoped for.

Meagan Darby

Best Woman

Nic met Meagan freshman year of college, but the friendship started taking off sophomore year. Constant laughs and picking on each other like siblings. By technicality, she’s in this position as a bet but it was also an easy choice considering the options.

Chris Turner

Groomsman

Nic met Chris sophomore year of college when Chris was a Resident Advisor in their dorm. A quiet guy who never saw us do anything bad in the dorms.... Genuinely the biggest heart of anyone. It's a friendship Nic values and appreciates more than words can express. Also married to Meagan.

Brian (Tako) Carroll

Groomsman

They say two things, never meet your hero’s and never meet people you find online. He’s no hero but Nic did fly to Jacksonville to meet these friends he met online years prior. Easily the best decision he's made, as he gained a lifelong dumbass friend. Brian is like Nic but 70 years old and 4 foot tall.

Brandon McKenney

Groomsman

Met at the same time online and in person in Jacksonville. Though Brandon lives the furthest away, he has made the trip to Cincinnati multiple times. A rage machine online, but a complete sweetheart in person. One of the best kind of friends to have in your group.

Adam Lyon

Groomsman

Nic and Adam met on the literal first day of college, move in day Freshman year. 4 years of seeing each other almost every day. Adam is the College Fam chef, handyman, bartender, storyteller, and old man. Everyone from college has an Adam story and Nic hopes you have one too by the end of the reception.

Mike Booker

Groomsman

The bond between Nic and Mike is one that truly transcends time, literally, before birth. A friendship forced onto us by our Mom's. Mike is more like a brother. Months/years can pass without seeing each other, and it’s as if no time ever passes.

Darcy Burton

Flower Girl

Daughter of Meghan and Brady, she easily became one of my (Nic’s) favorite little people. The first kid from the college group, she’s the collective favorite niece.

J.D. Turner

Ring Bearer

Son of Meagan and Chris, he easily became one of my (Nic’s) favorite little people. (I can have multiple favorites!) The second kid of the college group and the collective favorite nephew, of course.
