If you are driving from Las Vegas we suggest that you stop in Mesquite, NV for your liquor and beer needs. You can also stop in St. George, UT but you will need to stop at a State Liquor Store for liquor, wine or beer > 5%. Some grocery stores and gas stations will sell domestic beer <5%. St. George is the last "major" city that you will pass through to get to the resort. It is ~ 2 hours from the resort and has any grocery stop you could want (Costco, Whole Foods, Smiths, Target, Walmart, etc). You will pass through several small towns on the way to the resort depending on which route you take. However, the options become scarce! Please plan ahead. We do not suggest waiting past Hurricane, UT or La Verkin, UT to get groceries.
If you are driving from SLC we highly recommend making this your primary grocery store/liquor store stop. State Liquor Stores will sell liquor and alcohol > 5%. You cannot buy liquor elsewhere. Some grocery stores and gas stations will sell domestic beer but for anything other than domestic beer you need to stop at the State Liquor Store! SLC has every options for grocery stores you could want (Costco, Whole Foods, Trader Joe's, Smith's, Target, Walmart, etc.) Panguitch is a town ~ 45 min north of the resort that you will be driving through. They have a local grocery store, cafes and gas stations. This is the last "populated" stop before the resort.
Orderville is small! There are not a ton of options but here are our local recommendations. - The Shope Coffee Co: coffee, breakfast & pastries. Great for the AM. - Archie's Food to Die For: a food truck right outside of the resort. Vegetarian options available. Great for the PM.
Springdale is a small town located at one of the park entrances. There are coffee shops, bistros, bars and restaurants. There is something for everyone in Springdale! Just be mindful that is is ~ 60 minutes from the resort because you drive through Zion National Park.
Tropic is a small town located outside the entrance of the park. There are several options ranging from breakfast cafes to restaurants and bars. Just be mindful that is is ~ 40minutes from the resort.
There are gas stations both in Orderville and the local surrounding areas. However, the area can be desolate so don't wait until last minute to fill up. Not all gas stations are created equal in Utah- some don't sell beer. Liquor is only sold at State Liquor Stores. Again, please plan ahead!
There is a very small grocery store/supply store in Orderville. We do NOT recommend this as your primary grocery stop. Please see above for our suggestions depending on where you are driving from.
