Marisa was new to North Carolina, when her new co-worker Sean was eager to "show her around," and "introduce her to people." She soon caught on to his crush and ran the other way for about 3 months before finally giving in and going on a date with him, and the rest was history.
After giving Sean a million do's & don'ts of acceptable proposals, he pulled off the perfect surprise, intimately and privately asking Marisa to be his wife at her all-time favorite country singer's concert, Jason Aldean.
After having to postpone our wedding twice, and with everything else that happened in 2020, we realized how special & precious life was. We feel so lucky to have all of our grandparents, and parents, in our lives, and wanted to ensure they were able to see us married, even if it was over video. We knew that we'd be able to celebrate with all of our loved ones down the road, so in a very "us" fashion, we recruited some friends to take photos, and scheduled a courthouse marriage on what would be exactly one year from our big wedding day - October 16, 2020. The courthouse ended up being an actual jail, barbed wire and everything, but it was an absolutely perfect day followed by our favorite Chinese buffet, and cuddles with our dogs.
