"Lola, best first date ever, you should have seen the way he looked at me..." - Dawn, on the way home from her first date with Julian The bond that I have with Lola is a true gift! I am a better Sister Friend, Daughter, Make-up Artist, Rationalizer, Party Attendee, and simply Global Citizen, because of our honest and vulnerable conversations over the past 12 years. There have been lots of laughs, tears, and "GURRLLSS!" that have assisted in the creation of many memories and Lola might tell you about one of them if you ask her nicely! LOL! Currently residing in Chicago, IL, Lola works in the Social Services and her dedication to helping her community easily translates to those she loves and I am beyond blessed to be on that list!

This one time at Pinchback Park...If Warren doesn't tell you the story, I won't either! My guy! Warren and I met in eighth grade. Since '96, Warren has seen the good, bad, ugly and everything else. Most of the time he's a voice of reason. Then there are times he's the ultimate hype man that puts the battery in your back just to get laughs at your expense! Reliable, confident, sarcastic and witty are just a few words that can describe this guy. Warren is a guru when it comes to anything Apple related. A self proclaimed Michelin star chef, Warren is in IT with Caddo Parish Schools and resides in Shreveport, Louisiana.

Our Moms are best friends and so are we! I can count on one hand the number of people that I have known longer than Chrystal and she will always be the only person that I call my best friend. She is my Sister for life, especially since we share our Moms! Chrystal has seen the true progression into the woman that I am today and has been involved in the writing, directing, and editing of many a stories of mine. LOL! She is responsible for helping me find the confidence I needed growing up to stand up for myself and be proud of the woman I was becoming. No one has kept me more humble in this world! Even though she attended Hampton University instead of The Real HU, Howard University, her words of wisdom are typically the voice of reason I need! Chrystal is currently a homeowner in Spotsylvania County, VA where she is a Marketing Manager for a large real estate company.

"Dawn is that your quote on the cover of The Hilltop about the fire???? - Alesandra, 2003 Since the moment that we moved into The Bethune Annex our Freshman year at Howard University, Alesandra and I have been side by side! We navigated house parties, the strict rules set in place by the School of Business, HU Homecoming, taking the Metro to Pentagon city for the first time, moving off campus into our first apartment, and DC parking wars together! You name it, we have done it, and won! Our thing has always worked for us! Two of the most perfectly imperfect souls found peace in a Sisterhood when we needed it most and that has sustained us over the years from city to city. Alesandra currently works in Marketing in Bloomfield, CT.

The competitor that became family... This guy is the coolest man on the planet. One I've never seen get upset about much of anything. "K-Mo" has seen the relationship blossom from "I got a prospect" to "Bruh! This is the one and I'm about to put a ring on it!" Keithon is a Jackson State University alum who is currently in management with Trane Technologies. Never far away from our youth and sports, Keithon currently runs a non profit organization and coaches youth football around the DFW metroplex (Pleasant Grove Bengals, Southeast Dallas Wolverines and Team Grind). P.S. - J-State could have used Coach Prime when you played because we smacked you all pretty good in '03 & '04!
