Things To Do!

The Wedding Website of Taylor James and Nina Swistel
Welcome to Sag Harbor! This adored little village is without a doubt our favorite town in the Hamptons. Once a major whaling village, Sag Harbor has a rich history, and gives a feel of life in a young America.. that is, if you imagine it without all the fancy cars, and Polo sporting, yacht people! It was settled centuries before it became a Hamptons vacation destination. Walk down Main Street, and stop in some of our favorite stores. Kites of the Harbor for silly toys and tchotchkes, Sylvester & Co. for modern home goods (including our friend's baked goods, Spring's Salt cookies!), and Blooming Shells for rocks, crystals, and seashells. Enjoy!

Sag Harbor Cinema

Sag Harbor Cinema

90 Main Street, Sag Harbor, NY 11963

See a movie at the Sag Harbor Cinema! Opened in 1915, and remodeled by John Eberson in 1936, giving it its distinctive Art Deco look, and iconic neon sign. The facade almost completely burnt down in 2016, but community volunteers and firefighters were able to save the sign! Although a restoration fabricator ended up just making a new one. Make sure to arrive early, or stay late for a cocktail at their rooftop bar!

The LongHouse Reserve

The LongHouse Reserve

133 Hands Creek Road, East Hampton, NY 11937
, (631) 329-3568

The LongHouse is for sure one of our top recommendations. A sculpture garden, featuring more than 60 outdoor works, including Willem de Kooning, Isamu Noguchi, and Sol LeWitt. Created by artist, collector, and world-renowned textile designer and weaver Jack Lenor Larsen (1927-2020). You could easily spend hours here, enjoying the art, nature, and creative approach to a modern living space. Only 7 minute drive from our house, the wedding venue, or 13 minutes from Sag Harbor.

Wainscott Beach

Wainscott Beach

Beach Lane, Wainscott, NY 11975

Take a walk on our favorite beach! One of the most unpopulated beaches along the stretch of East Hampton Township beaches. You'll find that Main Beach, close to East Hampton town, is rated one of the most beautiful beaches in America, and this is the same beach! Just a few miles away. The historic home (shown in photo) was featured in one of our favorite movies, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind. Although, DO NOT PARK HERE WITHOUT A BEACH PERMIT - Take an Uber! It'll be worth it!

Big Olaf

Big Olaf

Wharf Street, Sag Harbor, NY 11963

Get ice cream at Big Olaf! Known for their generously sized waffle cones, this old-fashioned ice cream shop is situated right on the wharf at the far point of Sag Harbor, right next to the Bay Street theater. We suggest going here instead of the other fro-yo a alternatives because of it's old style ice cream flavors, and cold stone added extras. Just note that this is a cash-only joint.

The Pollock-Krasner House
