As most all of you know my name is Payton and I am the bride to be. Meeting Parker is one of the best things that could have ever happened to me and I am so very grateful to have such a wonderful, kind, and loving man that will be my husband soon. I work as a paramedic and have recently began studying to get my flight medic certification in order to fly on the helicopter one day in the near future. Helping people in some of the most emotional and worst moments of their lives has truly opened my eyes and shown me that I am meant to be where I am today, helping people is something I have always been passionate about even as a child and i can only hope i give people a light to see at the end of the tunnel in their time of need. Can’t wait to see everyone there!

Mother of the Bride
Lydia is the proud mother of the bride, and if you know Payton, then you already know where she gets her good looks, her strong spirit, and that unbeatable taste in music. Around here, it’s no secret the two of them could pass for twins — though Lydia will happily admit Payton is the younger, sweeter, and somehow even better version of herself. From singing along in the car to sharing life’s biggest moments side by side, their bond has always been something special. With all the sass, grace, and Southern charm of a true mama, Lydia has loved watching her little girl grow into the beautiful woman she is today. Seeing Payton find a love that feels like home is more than a mother could ever hope for. While it’s hard to believe the little girl who once held her hand is now walking down the aisle, Lydia couldn’t be more proud, more grateful, or more full of love. Today is a celebration of not only a wedding, but of the incredible woman Payton has become — and that alone is enough to bring tears to a mama’s eyes.

Grandmother Of The Bride
Hi everyone, I am Ms. Marilyn Porterfield, Payton’s maternal grandmother better known to her as Double G. At age of 4, Payton told the family I was, “Plenty Nine!” & I’m still “Plenty Nine!” Born in Murphy, North Carolina, graduated from Young Harris College, University of Georgia, married Michael Porterfield in 1969. Two Daughters, Olivia in 1972 & Lydia (Payton’s Mother) in 1980 I have one grandson, five granddaughters, & one great-grandson. I retired in 2017 with 40 years in education, 9 years High School English Teacher & 31 in Administration, all years in Cobb County, Georgia.
Megan Hackel
Maid of Honor
Hey Guys, My name is Megan and I have the pleasure of being the maid of honor to Payton. Her and I became extremely close from the day we first met and have been inseparable ever since. I was one of her very first friends she made when she moved to Bainbridge and we have grown so close as time has passed. Not only are we the best of friends and coworkers but more than anything truly someone the other person can count on. I am a mom to two wonderful boys and love every minute of being there to watch those wild babies grow into good people. I also recently embarked on the journey of paramedic school and while difficult at times I am so excited to see where it takes me in life! Funny story about my role in the lives of the bride and groom is I am actually to thank for them even speaking, Payton said she did not like younger men and I gave her a little nudge and swiped on her facebook dating on Parker and they have been together since.

Hey I’m Allie! I’m Payton’s younger sister. I am currently working 2 jobs one at a coffee shop and the other at Redmond hospital. I want to attend EKG school in the summer. I love anything outdoors and my favorite color is blue. Can’t forget that my favorite animal is a penguin!!

Hi everyone! My name is Emma Goodson, better known as “the baby,” and I’m the youngest sister of Payton. I’m currently in college majoring in exercise science, with plans to earn my doctorate and become a physical therapist, and I also play college volleyball. In my free time, I love doing diamond paintings and, of course, playing even more volleyball. I love being Payton’s little sister. She’s always been someone I look up to, and I’m so grateful for everything she’s done for me. I love you so much, Payton, and I’m so excited to be here celebrating you today🫶🏼

Hey Guys, many of you know me and for the ones that don’t, my name is Parker and I am the groom of the lovely bride to be. Over the last year, i have grown so much as a person and have truly started learning what the adult world is like. I started my career at the GDC in June of 2025 and am now working on moving to the FDC since i will be moving to Bainbridge and living with Payton. The move and job change is a big step in my life but, I am very excited to start this journey with my bride to be and cannot wait to see where this life takes us!

Hey guys and gals! I know a lot of you don’t know me, so I am here to introduce myself! My name is Doug, the best man and Parker’s lifelong best friend and cousin. Him and I have been through a lot together in our 19 and 20 years on this earth but, we have some of the best memories together that I will always hold dear to my heart. I love the outdoors specifically fishing in my free time. It is one of the best ways to clear my head and get away from the world when I need a little space. I am currently working and getting ready to go to school for aircraft technology. Can’t wait to meet everyone at the wedding!
