If you’re visiting this website, you’re invited to our wedding. If you’re invited to our wedding, you probably already know (at least) the bones of our love story. This thrilling story starts in August of 2014 in Tallahassee, Florida. Stephanie had just moved up from Fort Myers to begin her college career. On Steph’s first night, she decided to hang out with some friends from high school, who were a year older than her. Steph burst through the door of their apartment with hugs for everyone, even the unfamiliar face standing in the living room. They introduced themselves, and Steph immediately said “you’re my beer pong partner!” to their roommate named Sean. Little did Sean know, that was the first (and absolutely not the last) time his future wife would tell him what to do. From 2014-2017, a friendship (and crush) grew into a fun-filled, happy, silly college relationship. Lots of time spent at Old School, The Strip (Ken’s, of course), and everywhere in between! In 2017, Sean graduated Florida State and headed off to law school back in his home state of Illinois. Steph still had a year left of school, so they lovingly parted ways. The two were never far from each others’ minds. They remained great friends, spending hours on phone calls & FaceTimes, and getting to see each other when they could. In 2020, an opportunity for Steph to teach in Chicago appeared. She packed her little Toyota Corolla (which she totaled on the drive) and began the trek to the Windy City. Steph and Sean knew there was a chance things wouldn’t work out once they were back in the same city, but luckily for them, things surely did. Even better than anyone could’ve imagined. From 2020-2024, life looked like concerts, sports games, laughs, bars, kickball, karaoke, plane rides, movies, Bravo binges, taboo, naps, matching Christmas pajamas, lake trips, cheese curds, Uno matches, and more. On June 7, 2024, almost exactly 10 years after meeting as 18 and 19 year olds in The Luxe on Call Street, Sean asked Stephanie to marry him (she thinks…. She kind of blacked out once he got down on one knee). Stephanie, of course, said yes (he thinks…. He also blacked out once he got down on one knee). Now, two years and five days later, they get to become husband & wife and celebrate with their favorite people! Thank you for not only being a huge part of Steph’s and Sean’s stories, but for also being a part of Steph and Sean’s story!
