A Marin must! Parking reservations are required. There is no cell phone reception or WiFi in the area, so make sure you have a transportation plan before heading out there.
Lots of trails in this National Park. Our favorite is an easy walk to Tennessee Beach and back (3.6-miles roundtrip). https://www.alltrails.com/trail/us/california/tennessee-valley-trail
One of our favorite hikes in Marin! A moderate 7-mile hike with 1700 ft elevation gain. https://www.alltrails.com/trail/us/california/dipsea-trail-to-steep-ravine-trail-to-matt-davis-loop-trail?u=i&sh=bcc9za
Lots of trails for hiking, biking, or even driving to the (near) top for panoramic views.
Good for a day trip. Some of our favorite hikes here include Alamere Falls (hard 13 miles) and Tomales Point Trail (moderate 9.5 miles with Tule Elk!). If you don't want to hike, check out the Cypress Tree Tunnel and Elephant Seal Overlook. Be sure to stop at the Hog Island Oyster Farm in Marshall (reservations required Friday-Monday). https://www.alltrails.com/trail/us/california/alamere-falls-via-coast-trail-from-palomarin-trailhead https://www.alltrails.com/trail/us/california/tomales-point-trail
Across the street from the Courtyard Marriott! Lots of awesome shops and restaurants. Check out Souvla (an SF staple!), Rustic Bakery, and Farmshop for great food.
Restaurants, shops, just a fun place to hang out!
Beautiful walk along the water with views of SF. Along the way, stop for food at Bar Bocce or the Joinery or have some ice cream at Lappert's!
