We’re getting married!

On our one year anniversary of dating, we took an impromptu trip the Greenbrier Resort in Lewisburg WV. We initially had planned to go to Tennessee for the weekend (our happy place), but plans changed and Chad set up a weekend trip to the Greenbrier all by himself! (And my mom) lol He even went to the lengths of planning for us to have our pictures professionally made by the photographer at the resort for our 1 year. We were told to meet the photographer in the North Parlor at 5:30. “The Love Clock in the North Parlor gained notoriety when it was featured on an episode of "The Bachelorette." As the story goes, suitors would leave secret notes for their sweethearts in the bottom of the clock. Today, there is a box below the clock for those who want to carry on the tradition without causing damage to the newly-restored historic piece, which dates back to the 1700s.” Little did I know, a few short minutes later I would no longer be a “bachelorette”. The photographer told us to face the window looking outside with me in front of Chad. He asked Chad to step away to get a picture of me by myself, he then asked me to turn around. I turned around to find my love down on one knee. I was so surprised. I did not expect it at all. Of course I said YES!! I couldn’t even let Chad finish his proposal I was so excited. Excited to spend the rest of our days together. We are elated to celebrate this next chapter in our lives with you. See you at Glade Creek Farm!

Our best friends, Savanna(matron of honor) and Michael (groomsman) who are now married, introduced us to each other because we were both single at the time. They say a true best friend knows what’s best for you, and that sure does hold true. We texted each other and got to know one another for about a week, until one night we met up before Chad had to leave out of town for work. We sat and talked for hours and we completely hit it off. Not only did we find best friends in one another, we found our soulmates.
