Jacob and Grace met on August 15, 2022, when they sat next to each other during the first day of law school orientation. For Grace, the first time they spoke she knew that Jacob was something special. He made her laugh immediately. Jacob was warm, charming, funny, kind, and smart. They started talking and laughing and haven't stopped since. Jacob was hooked when they got a drink at Sluggers after class and talked one-on-one. Grace was hilarious, sweet, intelligent, and somehow managed to hit every ball in the batting cages while in heels. They quickly became close friends. During the first year of law school, the two studied together, celebrated their similarly low midterm grades together, and distracted each other by exchanging notes and funny faces every lecture. Jacob saved Grace from a cold call by their most notorious professor, and Grace taught Jacob how to use Facebook marketplace to acquire some much needed furniture. As time went on, they found themselves looking for any excuse to spend time together. When Grace returned from a summer of working in Austin, Jacob knew he had to ask her out. They soon began dating and fell in love. Jacob and Grace's relationship has been a wonderful culmination of friendship and love. They laugh together every day. They find true joy and happiness in one another. They share similar values, interests, hopes, and dreams. Asking Grace to marry him was the easiest decision of Jacob's life. Grace feels exactly the same about saying yes. Jacob planned their engagement while studying for the bar. He proposed in Beijing, Grace's favorite city in Asia, while they were on their post-bar exam trip. It was the best day of both of their lives. They are so incredibly excited to celebrate their love and marriage with their favorite people.
