On our 5th dating anniversary we planned a camping trip to the Smoky Mountains. This trip was one to remember with Britney almost cancelling the trip due to the recent flooding left by Hurricane Helene. John's initial plan to propose was complicated by a car show, two possums, and a skunk! None the less, John got down on one knee the next morning while enjoying coffee on the deck of their rented cabin with Britney's initial response being "shut up!".
