Many weddings are casual these days but we want y'all to dress to the nines and have a good time! We kindly request formal attire. Floor length dresses/gowns/furs and three piece suites and tuxes recommended.
There will be two shuttle buses leaving Alyeska around 2:30 pm and 2:45pm on the day of the Wedding. They will shuttle you to and from the Ceremony. The Ceremony is only 5 minutes away, you are also welcome to drive, but please do not park directly in front of the Chapel.
We love all our littles coming to the wedding! But yes for the Ceremony we will have CPR certified baby sitters in the Chapel's lower level. This will allow the Ceremony to stay reverent for this very important moment. We would kindly ask that any kiddos younger than 5 be escorted downstairs, especially if you suspect they will cry and/or chatter. But we are excited to see those little feet dancing all night long at the reception!
Check out the Recommended Itinerary section for some fun suggestions! Our hope is to spend as much time with our loved ones as possible. We will also be sending out a digital custom water color map of our favorite places around Anchorage & Girdwood closer to the Wedding.
It will be snowy this time of the year! If coming in early we recommend bringing winter clothes and a good pair of boots for exploring Anchorage and around town (you may even choose to stop in REI or The Hoarding Marmot for a good pair of snow cleats to put on the bottom of your boots to prevent slipping and sliding). For the week of Girdwood we recommend bringing a few ski lodge casual/chic outfits for all the indoor festivities in and around the Resort. Be sure to pack another outfit for Rehearsal if applicable (cocktail attire, dark wash jeans and sports jackets etc. - not formal but also not casual). If you plan to book the Nordic Spa at Alyeska - bring a bathing suit.
