Please RSVP by September 18th. This allows us to get as accurate a guest count as possible, ensuring an intimate and comfortable experience for all.
The ceremony will be taking place outdoors, but under a covered (and heated if necessary) pavilion. The reception will take place indoors directly nearby. There are stairs and slopes in between the ceremony and reception space, so if you need special assistance, we can offer shuttle service.
Yes! The dress code is very important to us. We want everyone to look and feel their best on this special day. In order to achieve this, we ask that everyone adhere to a Formal Dress Code. Women can wear long gowns or dresses; men can wear full suits with ties or bowties. More details can be found on the Schedule section of this site.
Great question! While we want to share this day with as many friends and family as possible, we want to ensure that we are celebrating with those closest to us. For this, your wedding invitations will come with a predetermined guest count. If you need special consideration, please reach out to us and we can go from there.
While we love our little ones, we want to prioritize an elegant, intimate, and stress-free experience for everyone involved. With this being said, we ask that you do your best to leave the kids with the babysitter/grandparents for this event. You could use a break, after all.
Since we made the traditional decision to abstain from a "first look", after the ceremony, the wedding party will be taking pictures nearby for around an hour. During this time, guests can head straight to the reception hall, where we will be serving Hors d'Oeuvres and beverages during a cocktail hour.
We're still deciding! We have a long list of amazing options to offer you from the venue's Executive Chef, but we haven't narrowed down to our favorites yet. More information on this will come later!
Of course! Dinner for our event will be "Family-Style" meaning you will pick your entree choice during the reception, so there is no need to "lock-in" your choice beforehand. If you need vegetarian/vegan options or have food allergies, please make sure to let us know ahead of time so we can accommodate you.
Since you’re most likely traveling for our wedding, making the trip is a gift in itself — physical gifts are absolutely not necessary! If you do choose to browse our wedding registry, however, any items on the list can be shipped directly to our home address.
Yes! There is on-site parking available. However, the venue is gated so if you plan to arrive early, let us know so we can put your arrival on the schedule for us to let you in.
Yes we do! Our venue is kind enough to offer free shuttle service for a few local hotels. However, it is not required to stay in these hotels. If you need details or recommendations, please look at the Travel section of this site.
Yes, there is! A few local hotels (listed in the Travel section) offer complimentary shuttle service to and from the venue. Uber and Lyft do operate in the area, but driver options may be limited due to the town's smaller size.
None that are required, but if you do wish to hang out with us before the wedding, we will be exploring and touring Columbus, Ohio a few days before the wedding with those who wish to see our hometown. If you would like to join, please let us know so we can expect you.
Absolutely! We are so proud of all we've put into this event, and we want everyone to experience the beauty and tranquility of Columbia Woodlands with us. Select guests that are staying on-site with us will have complete freedom to explore the grounds starting Friday at 12pm. If you aren't staying with us, you can still explore and visit, just be sure to let us know who all is coming and when you plan to do so. That way, we can have the staff let you in.
If you've ever lived in the Midwest, you'll understand how difficult it is to answer that question. Typically, early November in Dover is sunny, and the leaves have just turned to reds, yellows, and oranges. The average temperature this time of year is about 57°F, so we recommend long pants and shirts, and a jacket just in case, but nothing too warm either.
