Which is the best airport to fly into?

Answer

The closest, and by far the most convenient, is Reagan National Airport (DCA). This is followed by Dulles International Airport (IAD) and then Baltimore International Airport (BWI). Careful, IAD and BWI are a bit of a drive from downtown.

How do I get to the Tabard Inn from the airport?

Answer

Reagan National: Take the Yellow Line and transfer to the Red Line at Gallery Place, then take the Red Line to Dupont Circle. The hotel is a short walk from there. Dulles International: You can take the 5A bus, which runs every 30 minutes, to Rosslyn Station (*you need cash or a metro card for the bus). Then take the Orange Line to Farragut West. The Tabard Inn is a short walk from there (allow 1.5 hours for transit). Baltimore International: Take the 201 bus to Gaithersburg (*you need cash or a metro card for the bus), then walk 1 minute to the Shady Grove metro stop, where you can take the Red Line to Dupont Circle. The Tabard Inn is a short walk from there (allow 2 hrs for transit).

Is there a group rate for the hotels?

We have blocked off rooms for our guests at the Tabard Inn and the Kimpton Carlyle. See the TRAVEL page above for more information.

Is there a dressing code for the wedding?

Answer

Semi-formal/cocktail attire (e.g., cocktail dresses, suit or tie and sports coat). It's NYE, so feel free to dress for the occasion (think sequins).

What will the weather be like this time of year?

Answer

D.C. in December/January is COLD (high of 43, low of 25). Stay warm.

Where will the ceremony and reception take place?

Answer

All events on the day of the wedding will be held at the Tabard Inn.

There is street parking throughout the Dupont neighborhood near the hotel, or you can use the valet service at the hotel.

Unfortunately, our venue is very small, so our wedding is RSVP only.

There will be a vegetarian option, but if you have special dietary needs, please contact us directly as soon as possible.
