We're getting married!

Like all great love stories… ours started in a nightclub. After moving back to Windhoek, Svenja went out “just for one drink,” and Francois, already slightly drunk from a friend’s house and wearing his now-iconic Hawaiian shirt, became her beer pong teammate (a solid foundation for any serious relationship). A few days later, and after lots of back-and-forth messages, Francois lost his phone and went silent. Minor plot-twist. Once we reconnected, it was clear—we were in it for real. Our journey has been anything but traditional. Two months in, we were already living together. A year later, we moved into Svenja’s family home, which we’re now making our own. There’s never a quiet weekend with us. We’re always cooking, trying new hobbies, or dragging friends into our latest idea. We come from two different worlds—chaotic meets organised. Sometimes that’s a recipe for disaster… but more often, it’s a recipe for laughter. Along the way, we’ve taught each other so much and have been through even more. But always together. You will rarely see one of us without the other. It hasn’t always been easy, but it has always been worth it. This is a kind of love you only find once in a lifetime—and we know it, and we cherish it. 🤍
