Must love dogs! Like so many do these days, Luke and Suzie met online, but the likelihood of the two meeting in a place thousands of miles away from their hometowns that happened to be a stones throw away from each other, seemed unthinkable. An instant connection occurred and Suzie, not wanting to play the online dating game, said let's meet up and get to know each in person. The plan for their first date was intended to be a hike with dogs at one of Suzie's favorite spots, but ended up being an entire day of endless conversation. At the time, Suzie did not have a pup of her own, so she recruited her best friends dog, Axle, to take part, along side Luke's beloved Arnie on their hike that morning. Twenty minutes into their hike and easy conversation, Arnie misplaced his human and went on his own "solo hike". Luke tried his best not the show the sheer panic he was experiencing. After frantically searching for what seemed like forever, Arnie was found at the trailhead grazing and enjoying himself. They continued the date at a local dog friendly brewery, where they spent the next six hours connecting and reminiscing on all of their fond childhood memories from Pennsylvania. It was clear they didn't want the night to end, but both went home anticipating the next time they would get to see each other. The rest is history...

Suzie expressed, in the very early times of their relationship, that she had never had a dog of her own, so Luke saw this as a mission. Suzie, being a teacher, had her typical summer trip home planned to go be with family, which happened to be the same time she celebrates her birthday. While she was away, Luke went from animal shelter, to dog adoption agency to find the perfect pup she could call her own. Luke found the adorable six month old shepherd/lab mix for Suzie to come home to whom they named Cooper! Multiple times a week they would walk to the neighborhood park, near Luke’s house, to play catch with the dogs. It became their park. Luke knew how much their canine companions meant to Suzie, so he made sure his proposal plans involved "the boys". On a brisk March evening, Luke and Suzie went to their park with the boys and Luke, not remembering which knee to go down to, proposed to Suzie at sunset. We're so excited to celebrate this next chapter in our lives with you.

Luke and Suzie are now engaged, talks of their future and their life plans start to come to fruition. Starting a family together was on the forefront of many conversations and the realization of what that entailed was a big part in making their next decisions. Being that they are both firm in their belief in God and the values of their families, marriage and the sanctity that comes with marriage is important to them and the trajectory of their life plans. So, on June 2nd 2023, Luke and Suzie were married along side close friends and "the boys" in their backyard exactly one year from their first date. They are excited for you to partake in a celebration and declaration of their vows and love for each other, on their one year anniversary.
