Brian and I met in middle school, when I moved to Pullman from St. John. We started hanging out more in high school and played on the football team together and enjoyed hanging out after school hours, as well. We both attended Washington State University and were roommates for several years during college. We would go camping, hunting, and fishing together regularly, and enjoyed hackysack and barbeques in the backyard and going out partying on weekends. He is an Eagle Scout and also a very gifted woodworker and enjoys building things from scratch. The characteristics of Brian that I value the most are his work ethic and his heart for helping people. He pushes me to have fun and try new things, even when I don't feel like it sometimes.

I met Marilyn when we both began attending Faith Community Church about six years ago. As soon as I met her, I wanted to be her friend and a part of her family. She and her husband, Tim, welcomed me into their home and family and I am so grateful. She loves Jesus, her family, Mickey Mouse, the Seahawks and Mariners. She has been a great encouragement and mentor to me since we met and we have enjoyed cheering on the Seahawks together over the years, sometimes even from CenturyLink. She and Tim prayed with me about Joe and God's will for us for an entire year before he and I started dating and have cheered us on and been a great support and source of counsel.

Dan Pielak

I met Dan a few years ago at Faith Community Church. We attended men's bible study together and soon learned that we both had an interest in Wild At Heart, a book written by John Eldredge. We bonded during bible study and began a men's group to study Wild at Heart together. Over time, we shared our hearts as I went through divorce. Dan was a rock that brought me back to the core belief that we had studied so much together (that God is my companion even in the midst of great pain), if I only trusted God to come through- one more time. Dan never wavered in telling me that God would bring someone into my life that would be a true life companion, even in dark days. I would describe Dan as a warrior in spirit, a true friend who sacrifices for others, and someone who pursues justice.

Aaralynn Frey

Bridesmaid

Aaralynn made me an aunt thirteen years ago. Meeting her changed my life and I quit my job in Louisville, KY and moved to Washington to be closer to her. I couldn't imagine her growing up without me being able to see her regularly. Because of this, and just because of who she is, she holds such a special place in my heart. She loves Jesus and is a great role model for those around her. She is spunky, friendly, smart, so talented, and loves music as much as I do.

Erich Jaber

Erich and I met at Faith Community Church several years ago. We bonded most by serving together. What I noticed right away in Erich was that he is fearless and different and doesn't try to fit in or be what the world wants him to be. His bravado and brashness attracted me at first, but his heart for people is what has held me, and our friendship has grown much deeper. Erich is extremely talented and can build houses, plan a great party, and cook a mean, yet elegant, dinner- for 2 or 200. We play poker together and talk about life, children, marriage, divorce, and past struggles we have gone through. Erich is one of the most devoted people I have ever known and I value his wisdom- he will challenge me in ways that almost no one else will.

Adah is my second niece and god-daughter and we have such a special bond. She is an athlete and super competitive, as most Freys are, including me. She loves Jesus and has a sweet and compassionate heart. She is witty, smart, and so talented. I love spending time with her doing just about anything, but reading and taking walks together are two of my favorite things to do with her. She and her sister have been waiting a long time to be in my wedding. :) I am so thankful to have them standing up with me as my Bridesmaids.
