Maid of Honor
Angie is the leader of our pack of sisters. Ever since we were little, she used to organize plays, concerts, and fashion shows for our parents, and we would have so much fun planning and putting on a show together. Although Angie may have been a bit bossy when it came to running the show, if you ask any of us younger sisters, she was probably the best oldest sister anyone could ask for. She was the older sister that would tell my parents to punish her instead of me and of course the 2nd child that I was, I'd quickly agree and run out of the room. Although we do have our differences, she's probably the most dependable, reliable, thoughtful, and responsible person I know. She's very dedicated, passionate, and a very hard worker in everything she does whether it be baking bread, treating her patients, or cleaning the house! Angie has been so generous to make dinner for Donn and I very many times and has been our personal consultant for credit cards. Fun fact about Angie: She's probably watched every korean drama you can name.
Best Man
From riding rip-sticks to scuba diving, Joshua and I did almost everything together growing up. With just two years separating us, we've also had our fair share of brotherly disagreements, but ultimately our different personalities have made us that much closer. When it comes to looks, we are apparently identical. I can't count the number of times I've had conversations with people who thought I was Joshua. Living together in Loma Linda has been a blast, and I have to admit I will miss coming home to the faint smell of motor oil wafting from the garage. I might be older, but I’ve looked up to Joshua in a lot of ways, especially ever since he outgrew me. In all seriousness, I value his perspective on life and have learned a lot from our conversations about life over the years. I also appreciate how we always seem to make each other better. Joshua is one of the most sincere, genuine, down-to earth people I know.
Maid of Honor
Yehjee was probably the brother that I never had. Ever since we were young, we used to wrestle, and when I say wrestle, I mean full on tackle each other until one person would have to tap out. As my fellow middle child, we were a bit ridiculous when we were younger as we would dare each other to go out in the snow in our swim suits, draw on our siblings while they were sleeping, or have these epic dance battles. There was and is never a dull moment with Yehjee. As crazy as we used to be as kids, Yehjee grew to be very sweet, thoughtful, dependable, and warm hearted. As a die hard Bears fan, Yehjee and Donn have fun bragging whose team is better although the Lions have been beating the Bears this past football season. Fun fact about Yehjee: She absolutely loves ketchup and used to ask my mom to pack her sandwich bread with just ketchup.
Best Man
Although Luke and I essentially grew up in the same town, it wasn't until we were housemates at Andrews University that we really connected. Our shared love of dark humor, similar perspective on life, and love of deep conversation fueled our friendship. Some of my favorite memories with Luke include wake-boarding behind a jet ski on the St. Joe river, smoothie nights in the hot tub (which we named Gwyneth), scheming up a fake midnight tornado drill to test Jonathan's readiness, and late nights staying up to talk about life. We've also picked up new pastimes together (cycling), and continue to plan yearly biking tours in Michigan with Jonathan. I admire Luke's willingness to be vulnerable. His loyal dedication in fulfilling his professional, relational, and spiritual responsibilities has inspired me to be a better person.
Bridesmaid
Charlene and I first became friends at Southern Adventist University but it wasn't until dental school where we really got close. So many words come to mind when I think of Char: mom, master chef, queen of efficiency, etc. Char has been my go to whether it be trying a new restaurant, venting about school/work, and even relationship advice. To be honest, without Charlene, Donn and I would've probably had a few bumps in the beginning of our relationship. One of my favorite things about Char is that we're pretty much the same person. We dont always have to verbally say things because we understand each other so well! If anyone has ever had a bad camping experience, Char can change that opinion. Camping with char is glamping. I never knew camping food could be that yummy or sleeping in a tent be that comfortable! Fun fact about Char: if char eats potato chips before a run, she can run way faster.
Groomsman
Some of my earliest memories with Will involve running from hornets, throwing a football or baseball around, and watching the Lions find new ways to lose. I have great memories of Sunday afternoons in college when I would go over to Will's house to watch football. As true Detroit sports fan, we've both developed an extraordinary ability to forgive and see the best in others. Will was very kind to invite me to join his intramural flag football team at Andrews, although he may have regretted that decision after I gave up two touchdowns in the championship game on the way to a runner-up finish. Whether we're texting about the Lions, going to a game, or just hanging out, it's always a good time with Will.
Bridesmaid
Leisa is the friend who brings you sparkling water and snacks when your'e studying for a big exam because she knows you'd be craving them or the friend who brings extra fuzzy socks camping because she knows you'd forget. Leisa has been my adventure buddy for as long as I remember. Many people think I have no fear when it comes to biking down hills as fast as I can or rock climbing 20-30 feet tall boulders without a harness, but they don't realize that Leisa is right there next to me racing me to the top. Throughout the 9+ years of friendship, she has always been thoughtful, daring, and a true bundle of energy. Leisa is always down to hang out even if she's just getting off of night shift. She is truly an energizer bunny and can run on almost no sleep! Fun fact about Leisa: She can flash V7 boulders!
Groomsman
Jonathan has a special gift for connecting with people, something I was very grateful for in high school. During my freshman year at Battle Creek Academy after joining the school as a quirky homeschooler, it meant a lot that someone as well-liked and kind as Jonathan would go out of his way to make me feel at home. Some of my favorite memories with Jonathan include sailing out of sight on a one person sailboat with an improvised mast, counseling together at Camp Au Sable, and planning our yearly Michigan cycling tours. I've learned a lot from Jonathan over the course of our friendship and look forward to many more good times ahead. Among his many aadmirable qualities, I appreciate Jonathan’s honesty, loyalty, and dedication.
Bridesmaid
Michelle and I first became friends my first year at Southern Adventist University where she took me under her wing. Not only did she tell me which class to take or cook me amazing gluten free vegan food (something I thought could never taste good) but she is the first person to teach me how to "work out." If anyone has worked out with Michy, they will soon realize that Michelle's fitness level is on a next level. Although she may be small, she can deadlift, squat, and run "better" than many guys! One of my favorite things about Mich is her drive in life and her ability to make every activity into a workout. Although Mich has moved away to the opposite side of the country, we still keep in touch and I enjoy getting pictures of her dog Nikao. She has become the ultimate dog mom! Fun fact about Mich: Her walking pace is my running pace!

Hanging out with Connor in California was a highlight of any trip out west to visit family. Visiting Legoland, eating at The Old Spaghetti Factory, and running from Auntie Alice's dog Lady are some of my favorite memories with Connor. More recently, I experienced an escape room for the first time with Connor and his family. It was close, but thankfully we escaped with just a few minutes to spare! As the oldest cousin on my mom's side, Connor has always had my respect. When I needed help with my residency CV, Connor looked it over for me and made a lot of edits that really helped the document. If I get into residency it will partly be because of Connor! Hanging out with Connor and Alec has been a great perk of living in Loma Linda, and something Suzie and I don't take for granted.
Bridesmaid
Aki is the life of the party. She can easily capture everyone with a funny story or give you the hottest new skincare recommendations! Aki and I have been friends since college where we enjoyed eating village market sushi, walking to church, and studying together. One of my favorite things about Aki is how spontaneous she is and how much she likes to do things. When I first moved to Loma Linda, she was the first person to take me to Redlands market night where she introduced me to the best corn on the cob! My lululemon obsession all began when Aki and I bought matching tanks. The whole experience was so much fun trying different things on and ended up taking a picture with the girl who helped us find the tank! I'm thankful for Aki's fun loving zeal in life and for her continual friendship! Fun fact about Aki: She will never turn away from returning anything sub par!

Surfing, swimming, free-diving, you name it and if it involves water or the ocean, Lawrence is probably good at it. I met Lawrence in Guam when I was in middle school, but even then it felt like we'd been friends for longer. I've always looked up to Lawrence's style, from his zories (flip-flops), to his shades (sunglasses), watch tan, and chill guitar playing. I didn't have an older brother growing up but I think Lawrence filled those shoes in some ways. Super proud of him for serving our country by joining the Navy while learning a trade with the Seabees. I can thank Lawrence for introducing me to John Mayer, surfing, and 4-way stretch swim shorts.
Bridesmaid
I first met Nicole through church once I got to Loma Linda and we quickly bonded over the fact that our birthdays were in March only days apart. We had always talked about having a tea party with fancy sandwiches and fascinators for our joint birthday party but sadly we have yet to make that happen. I have so many good memories making vegan cheese, eating good food, hosting parties together, and laying in bed talking and snacking on chips together. Nicole is a friend who is very creative, loving, and honest. If you need an honest opinion if your new recipe is good, ask Nicole! Although it is very difficult to hang out with Nicole due to her busy work schedule, you can schedule a hang out months in advance! We love catching up over brunch and talking about life together. Fun fact about Nicole: She is the QUEEN of DIY.
Groomsman
Vance and I were housemates our first three years of medical school and became close because of our similar outlook on life and common interests. From starting a bible study together during our first year in medical school, to weekend camping with the housemates, golden weekend trips to San Diego, and spontaneous half-marathons, we combined to mastermind many good memories. My first year at Loma Linda I didn't have many friends in the class, so Vance introduced me to his. We also studied together often, so much so that Suzie's first impression of me was "that guy who hangs out with Vance." Vance and I hit it off partly because we share similar values, but also because he's just a great dude.
Junior Bridesmaid
I still remember how excited I was when Hyoj (Christine) was born. I used to feel left out because Angie liked playing with Yehjee and I was never included so when I found out we were having another sister I was SO excited. I have fond memories of waking Hyojee up every morning without my mom knowing so she could come on our morning walk with us. Growing up Hyoj was always the peacemaker. When us older siblings were fighting, she would always take the losing side. Hyoj is soft hearted and loves helping other people and will always be our little baby. Although we think she's spoiled and got things a lot earlier and easier than we did, we still shower her with gifts and the best hand me downs! During her free time Hyoj loves to take pictures and listen to kpop! Fun fact about Hyoj: She has the biggest sweet tooth and will never turn down a gummy.
Junior Groomsman
I have a lot of great memories with Aiden from our visits to Seattle over the years, but one of my favorites is our fishing trip with grandpa. Aiden had a great time but for a while it was touch and go who was more likely to get hooked, the fish or whoever was standing behind Aiden. Even though I'm several years older than Aiden, I have a lot to learn from his thoughtful character, and have a lot of respect for the man that he has become. His dedication to working out is admirable and inspired me to hit the gym. Once I went to workout with Aiden and two random guys pulled him aside to complement him on his body (I'm secretly jealous).
