How we met...

First comes love...

Paul and Suzi crossed paths beginning in May of 2015 when she started working at the Proctor Starbucks as a Barista. Paul would come in during the work week for his grande Pike Place and his warmed 8 grain roll right as the coffee shop opened on his way to work. For a while, Paul was just the guy who drove the Fire Prevention work truck. Paul was also the guy who cracked a few jokes to make all the baristas smile and always made sure Suzi knew he genuinely wanted her to have a good day. In January 2016, Paul and Suzi became Facebook friends. Suzi had posted something along the lines of "Needing running buddy." - Before they knew it, Paul and Suzi finally started to get to know each other when they took a long evening walk along Ruston Way. They spent hours talking about their difficulties in life, moments in life they have gotten to celebrate, future goals and Mom Cars. Paul and Suzi later began casually dating, going on long drives, beer tasting, taking short weekend trips to Vancouver BC, mountain biking, brunching at The Top of Tacoma and of course, drinking a lot of coffee. They continued to get to know each other until one day, February 25th, 2017, Suzi looked at Paul and said "Are you going to be my boyfriend or not?".

The proposal...

Then comes marriage...

On their very first anniversary, Paul gave Suzi a beautiful promise ring. With that ring, he promised he would propose within the next year. He proposed 10 days before the year count down was up! On February 15th, 2019 Paul and Suzi were celebrating their 2nd official anniversary in Vancouver BC. They had just tried a new restaraunt called Catch 122. After brunch, Paul and Suzi started walking aimlessly and once again, ended up at the Steam Clock in Gastown, just like their first trip to Canada together. Paul said “Lets take a photo in front of the steam clock, but lets do something different this time". Paul asked a stranger to take their photo and then Paul looked at Suzi and said, "This time, I want to ask you to be my wife. Will you marry me?"... Without a doubt her my mind, Suzi, through tears and laughter, said "YES!"
