FAQs

Question

What time should I arrive for the wedding ceremony?

Answer

We recommend arriving at 1:30pm to the Carmel Mission Basilica (30 minutes before the ceremony starts) so you have plenty of time to park and find your seat before the ceremony promptly begins at 2:00pm. Afternoon traffic can be heavy in Carmel near the Mission so we kindly encourage you to arrive early!

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Our dress code is formal. We kindly ask that you wear a dark suit and tie, a dark evening gown, or a midi-length cocktail dress.

Question

Are there any colors or styles you'd prefer me to wear?

Answer

Dark or jewel toned colors are preferred for wedding attire. We would also like to request that guests refrain from wearing colors that are part of the bridal party's attire, including burgundy.

Question

Is the wedding indoors or outdoors?

Answer

The wedding ceremony will take place indoors at the Carmel Mission Basilica, but there is a large outdoor courtyard outside of the church. The reception will primarily be indoors at Mission Ranch but there will be an outdoor patio area.

Question

For those traveling, what's the best airport to use?

Answer

Monterey Regional Airport (MRY) is the closest airport to the wedding venues. Alternatively, San Jose Mineta International Airport (SJC) is a one and a half hour drive to Carmel. Carmel Mission Basilica and Mission Ranch will be easily accessible from MRY or SJC via rental car, taxi or ride share.

Question

Do you have any hotel recommendations?

Answer

Yes! We have several recommendations under the 'Travel' tab.

Question

Are you registered? Where?

Answer

Our registry on Zola. Please see the registry page on our wedding website.
