Puerto Vallarta (PVR)
Sayulita is 35 miles north of Puerto Vallarta.
We highly recommend you have pesos. Pesos are the currency that is accepted. Some places do take credit cards but not all. Did you know the best way to get pesos is from your local US bank? All banks carry pesos or can get them within two business days. Of course you can always take pesos out of the ATM. ALWAYS, avoid the ATM at the airport.
We recommend pre-booking transport to/from the airport through Versa Premium Destination Management Company. Our wedding planner Andrea will collect your flight info, and group you into rides with other wedding guests arriving/departing at the same or similar times. Benefits of this service include: cost-savings when able to share with a group; safe/secure pickup with trusted drivers that know Sayulita; a grocery stop at the supermarket; and a higher likelihood of recovering items accidentally left behind in vehicles (vs. with a general taxi service). Your ride will be in an air-conditioned Suburban, which can accommodate up to 7 passengers with luggage.
Yes! Taxis are available at the airport rides are approximately $60 cash only. Rental cars are available
Sayulita is a small Mexican town that remains untouched by corporate hotels. This means you’ll see more locals than Americans, walk on cobblestone roads (leave your heels at home) and feel very safe.
The water from the faucet is not safe to drink. Most restaurants serve filtered water and of course you can buy bottled water everywhere.
Yes, there’s great shopping in Sayulita included local art. Many artists have boutique stores and shopping locally means you’re giving back to the community.
We want you to treat our wedding like you would a typical beach vacation with one night you’ll get dressed up for. Lots of sunscreen! Ladies- sundresses, shorts, tank tops, bathing suits, flip flops, and sandals. Men- shorts, tank tops, t-shirts, linen, collared shirt, short sleeve shirts, flip flops and sandals. The wedding attire is beach dressy. Ceremony will be on the sand, reception on grass.
Kids are welcome for the weekend and will love Sayulita. The wedding celebration is an adults only party and we will have information for babysitting available for you to book.
Email our wedding coordinator Andrea with the dates, times, location and number of children for sitting. Andrea@sayulitadreamswedding.com
