Travel Note
We highly suggest flying earlier in the week to account for flight time, time-zones, and jet-lag. If you plan on taking a non-stop flight to SA, there are flights out of ATL and NYC. Non-stop flights are only to Johannesberg and Cape Town, so you will have to book a flight to Durban separately. Johannesberg is the shorter flight option and therefore recommended. Please keep in mind that some of these international flights only fly on certain days of the week. Here's what we suggest: March 11 – If non-stop from US, fly to Johannesburg (JNB) from ATL or NYC and then fly to Durban same day. Stay overnight in Durban. If flying with a layover in another country, make sure to account for the additional time spent! March 12 – Wake up in Durban and shuttle to the game reserve (3 hours). Tom can help arrange shuttles to Manyoni. Try to coordinate into shuttle groups based on your accommodation and arrival dates. Once you arrive at your lodge, you can chill and go on a night game drive, followed by dinner at your lodge. March 13 – Morning and night game drives, relax and meals in between. March 14 – Morning game drive, Pre-Wedding Celebration in the evening. March 15 – Morning game drive, Wedding! March 16 – Shuttles can drive everyone to the airport, where you can fly to Cape Town or wherever else if you plan to continue your holiday! If you'd like to stay an extra night in the bush, that can also be arranged.
Travel Note
For those traveling from outside of Durban, you will fly into King Shaka Airport (Durban). It is about a 3-hour drive from the airport to the reserve. Shuttles can be arranged directly to your lodge / accommodation at the reserve. Please contact Tom if you wish to arrange a shuttle and we will assist with booking. Wedding party will be arriving at Manyoni on Wednesday 12th March 2024.
