Suzanne & Mateus met through mutual friends while Mateus was working as a chef at a hotel in Westchester, New York, where Suzanne grew up. Although there was an instant connection between them, Mateus returned to Brazil shortly after they met. Suzanne & Mateus stayed in touch until the next time they met, three years later in Paris, France. Their connection grew stronger throughout this trip and they decided to take a leap of faith and embark on their next journey together, dating internationally from Chicago to Paris.

Suzanne & Mateus traveled the world together from 2018 through 2020, visiting ten different countries and grew in love through new shared experiences. During a trip to visit Mateus's family in Brazil, Mateus proposed to Suzanne under the stars in Icaraizinho De Amontada. After returning from this wonderful trip, they started packing up their lives in Chicago and Paris to start a new life together in Brooklyn, New York.

Suzanne & Mateus were joined in civil matrimony at The New York Athletic Club in Manhattan, New York on leap year surrounded by their families from near and far.

Suzanne & Mateus will be joined in Catholic matrimony on October 29, 2022. The celebration of love will continue from the religious ceremony to the wedding reception surrounded by their family & friends!
