How it began

Growing up in Winona, Brady worked many different jobs but at the time he met me, he was working as a team lead at the local Walmart. At that time, I was working toward my undergrad degree at Winona State University. Knowing I needed to pay bills, rent, etc. I had applied to Walmart to work part-time. Despite dreading the sleep deprivation, creating a caffeine addiction and going a bit crazy, I found that I enjoyed it as I had fantastic coworkers and a boss that I found cute but kept professional. Months went by and eventually Brady took time away from the company and a new team lead took over. The new team lead was one of his friends that had moved from a different team lead shift to his position on nights. As my coworkers and I got to know more about our new team lead, it led to fun nights out playing darts, pool, and just casual social hours with our crew. Those months were fun, but I still found myself wondering about a certain someone. One night, after pondering a bit and having a couple of drinks well, I guess we can say curiosity killed the cat and I wanted answers. That night was the night that I decided to ask for Brady’s Snapchat from our boss (his friend) and, to my delight, secured the snap and a day later, got his number. Throughout the many conversations and hangouts, over the next few months the talks got longer, the plans got bigger, and we knew we complimented each other well. Although I was 90% sure he was worthy of a relationship with me, there was something that solidified it. On one sunny afternoon, I had decided to take Thor (my dog) with me onto the lake to do a quick loop. I remember not wanting to carry my keys, so I thought tying them around Thor’s collar would work. Off we went and were just about to finish the loop when I realized the KEYS HAD FALLEN OFF! Panicking, annoyed as ever, crabby and a bit hungry, I stood there for a moment. I decided to make another loop to retrace my steps but with no luck. I then called in reinforcements. Brady came, and we then did another loop but again failed. Eventually we had decided to leave the car overnight and come back in the morning to meet the locksmith. Knowing I was a bomb about to go off for the 2nd time today, Brady then drove us to get a bite to eat hoping it might defuse the situation, which it did. It wasn’t long after that day that Brady and I made it official, marking the first day of the rest of our lives together.
