We met in Flagstaff, AZ in 2010. We continued to cross paths over the years and can thank our great group of friends and that little mountain town for finally bringing us together.
After years of dreaming about a mountain bike road trip to British Columbia, we finally made it in June 2019. Megan, who is not a fan of diamonds, continued to tell Henry over the years that instead of a diamond ring she wanted carbon fiber bike wheels, which are basically rings but for your bike. This left Henry to find a set of wheels (thanks Jann!) and get them across the Canadian border without Megan knowing they were in the roof box of our car. After crossing the border, we made it onto the BC Ferry heading to Porpoise Bay Provincial Park in Sechelt, BC. After taking a walk on the bay and swinging on a handmade swing (created by the Swingers of Sechelt) we headed back to our camp for the evening. This is when Henry called Megan away from her book to show her the bike wheels and give her a star garnet necklace.
Grand Targhee Resort holds a special place for us and we always thought about how wonderful it would be to get married there. Over the years we have made several trips to the Tetons to bike and ski. We are excited to share with you all one of our favorite areas of the country for a weekend of celebration and of course, dancing!
